UNKNOWN OLD LAMP

I found this Old Lamp in my old car parts and I was wondering if anyone can help Identify it and what car or truck this could have been from.....Looks to have a brass body, painted black, Glass lenses, and a 1 wire socket....this will end up in my collection....THANKS  STEVE M

Aftermarket at a guess. Maybe for a trailer?

Fits on the side of a car body like this Chrysler....between the doors....I believe they are parking indicators.

First thought that I had was it was for a boat.

They would use them while parked to alert other drivers of a car on the side of the road.

There are some versions that were red/white.

Some states had lighting laws that required cars parked on the road at night to have side marker lights.

Marine lights the port and starboard (red and green)  lenses are about 40° so they can't be seen from the stern

I remember my Grandfather had a truck from the 30's that had lights like this on top of the front fenders. I don't know if it came that way or he put them on.
