Group33
I just obtained a '27 Vertical 8 AA Victoria ( American Motor Body) doctor's coupe "Barn Find". Part of the late "Jim Miller's collection" from Pasadena , California. Very original condition, stored dry, with no cancer, but will require complete restoration, or could be left as a survivor. I saw the car, and had to purchase this car on the spot, not wanting it to go to someone that would not appreciate it, but to hold for a Stutz enthusiast that would give her the home she deserves. Chassis No 85578 Engine No 32173 Body No 7049 Anyone with any information on this beautiful and rare coupe please contact me. Macduff55@sbcglobal.net I'm going to see Skip at the Nethercutt next Friday to see what he can determine. pughs
This car was used in several movies in the 1970's. It is in "Day of the Locusts" with Karen Black and In can be seen parked on the street in the last scenes of "China Town" where it is sort of a bluish color. I have been watching this car for more than 40 years. When I inquired about it either it wasn't for sale or they wanted way too much for it.
