Are you sure? I don't see those on any 1936 DeSoto Airstreams. Edited December 17, 2016 by keiser31 (see edit history)
auburnseeker
They were only on some. I had a hard time identifying the one I had. Mine was NOS and came in an old black and green Mopar box which they stopped using in the late 30's. It had the part number on it as well so that helped. I'll try to find a pic of one some where. auburnseeker
Finally found one. No wonder mine was so hard to sell, only having one. So few seem to have them on them.
keiser31
Must have been a pre-MoPaR accessory. Edited December 17, 2016 by keiser31 (see edit history)

Gents Thanks for the identification They match the 3 trim pieces on the hood They are in New Zealand, where 1936 Desoto Airstream would be very few in number
auburnseeker
Do you have a pair of them? Are they both in pretty good shape? The one shown looks pretty good.

The one shown looks pretty good. Yes. My friend has a pair. The other is about the same condition. My friend does not have a 1936 De Soto, but does have a 1929 De Soto and a 1936 Buick (and numerous other toys). In New Zealand such a car may have been sold as another Mopar brand. I have sent him a link to this thread. He is not registered here, but looks. They may or may not be for sale or exchange.

auburnseeker
It does look pretty slick. A little jazzier than a 36 Chrysler especially with the extra accessories.
