Hudsy Wudsy
Here's a link to a '30 Marquette for sale on C/L in Tennessee. I won't speculate on whether it is a good or great price, but I just wished to bring it to the attention of the community because it looks to be a beautiful car: http://chattanooga.craigslist.org/cto/5826817113.html Edited October 22, 2016 by Hudsy Wudsy (see edit history)
dibarlaw
Looks like it could use a spare tire.
John_S_in_Penna
Since Craig's List ads have short lives, it may be helpful to everyone to copy the text of the ad onto our forum. Including the phone number is useful if there is one. So for any possible Marquette owners, now or months from now, here it is! "1930 Marquette, made by Buick. This car was restored to its original showroom condition. Won 1st place in its class in Hershey Pennsylvania in 1980. The car is in excellent condition; solid; no rust. Original motor, original wood wheels, drives good. Interior is extra nice. This is a very rare car; could be a museum piece; only 3% of the Marquettes are known to exist in the world today. Have a Marquette registry with documentation and all about the origin of the Marquette. Car number is 714.Call Dan at 423-334-1303. No texts."
Hudsy Wudsy
John_S_in_Penna, yes, thank you, you are right. I'll try to remember to copy the ad wording in the future.
keninman
I did speak with the owner of this car yesterday. The spare tire is back on the car now also. He did say they get this car out and drive it from time to time but he has too many others so he wants to sell this one to make room. The 2 door sedan (4,637) was the second most produced but way behind the 4 door (15,795) in the US.

I had forgotten how nice it looked. So we see, 7 months after the Craig's List ad, that the car is still available. That shows how useful our thread now is for potential buyers, with the ad and the contact information all copied here for everyone's use!
