Pete Phillips
This is the rarest 1972 Buick, except for the GS convertible, only 2,032 made. Located in southern New York, so too far for me, but someone needs to grab this gift. And I know of a white '72 LeSabre convertible with good rear bumper & quarters in a salvage yard in Texas, where you can get what this one needs. Unlike most, this one still has its rubber bumper strips intact--how rare is that?! Dirt cheap, and it runs. What are you waiting for? Not mine. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Buick-LeSabre-Convertible-/291759956086?forcerrptr=true&hash=item43ee3fa076:g:cOIAAOSwgApXAr1j&item=291759956086 Edited May 11, 2016 by Pete Phillips (see edit history)
John_S_in_Penna
It's interesting that 1973 Centurion convertibles, and 1975 LeSabre convertibles, are seen frequently; but all the other 1971-75 Buick full-sized convertibles are much less common. Clearly, the 1975's got saved as it was known at the time that it was going to be the "last" Buick convertible. But one long-time hobbyist told me that in 1973, THAT year was rumored to have the last of the convertibles too. He therefore ordered a new 1973 Pontiac convertible, which he has kept as a collector car all this time, and kept the mileage very low; and he still has it to this day. Smartin
I think the rust is a big deterrent on this one.
60FlatTop
That's child's play rust in New York. Pete knows. Melissa Mohr heard a Texas guy's exclamation the first time he saw New York rust and thought "Wow! That's a book title." Bernie
