Pete Phillips
This nice old survivor just showed up today at a local paint & hot rod shop. Notice the headlight bezels, which are painted, except for a thin chrome ring at the very front, like the 1956 Roadmasters. This question about the headlight rims came up recently on another post, and this is the second '57 Roadmaster like this, so it confirms the Roadmaster-only headlight rims for 1957. This particular car looks like it was bought new in Tyler, Texas; has its original paint; was originally a factory A/C car (I opened the hood and the compressor is missing); and has Mexican-style diamond vinyl seat upholstery and interior door panels in white. I was told that the owner wants $18,000 for it, which seems to me to be about $10,000 too much, but it's a nice, rust-free, survivor that you don't see every day. buick man
No this does not confirm anything other than it is a 57 Roadmaster that some one put chrome headlight rims on sometime before or after installing the mexican diamond upholstery. Leif Holmberg
Those headlight bezels "door" are the original ones for Roadmaster 1957,The 1956 Roadmaster has the same type, painted and a smal chromed bezel,"door".Se scan from my parts book.Leif in Sweden.
