Paul Falabella
Are the indented circles on all the dash knobs supposed to be painted white? I have seen that and think it looks good. Might do it anyway. Thanks

buick5563
The only one that is supposed to be painted is the parking brake release knob.I have seen them all painter white, and to me it gets a bit busy. For Andreas,The gear shift knob just twists off. The turn signal black knob can only come off with some heat. Like when you are going to chrome the stalk. Then it has to be epoxied back on. bhambulldog
mmh i tried a few times to twist the gear shift knob off, but no way!any hints how to handle this without damaging the knob itself?Try some penetrating oil. let it sit a few hours (or days). Of course, you'll want to mask the knob from receiving the oil. Just a bit of oil to seep between the knob and shaftApply heat (careful, not too much heat that would melt the plastic) A heat gun on low setting should be quite enough.Be sure you're turning anti-clockwise... Paul Falabella
You might also try one of those thin rubber sheets used to open jars.

bhambulldog
That gives me 50% fer and 50% again'. Back to square one!I think it might have been dependent on the assembly plant. .... I've seen them both ways. And, with just the brake release and radio knobs painted, with the rest all black.
