Does anyone know of a shop that can rewire then generator to a 12V system?I'd also like yo get the starter rebuilt. R.White Posted January 4, 2015 Share Posted January 4, 2015 You might like to check the output of the 6V generator. Unless there are resistors built in, you might find that the output is more than sufficient to charge a 12 volt battery. You will need to fit a 12 volt cut out or modify your 6 volt one.The original generator on my 6 volt Austin kicks out 20 volts if not controlled.! Ray.
