Hudsy Wudsy
I'm having a little difficulty getting at the serial number on my '36 coupe at the moment. The car is in a particularly tight location. Would any of you nice gents be able to tell me if the serial number is also on the frame somewhere. If so could you say where? jpage
As far as I know the only serial number is on the inside of the "A" pillar on the right side. Should be a tag riveted to the pillar. If the serial number is stamped on the frame it can be really hard to find or read!
1936 D2
The only number on the frame is the original Engine Number starting with "D2-" for US built cars. The only copy of the Serial Number is on the black and silver tag riveted to the "A" pillar (hinge pillar) of the right front door.
Hudsy Wudsy
Thanks, guys. Oh well, I guess that I have to unbury it!
Ian_Greenlaw
Did they not stamp the chassis with the serial number as they did with the 34's ?
1936 D2
Nope. Only the Engine Number. At least on the US domestic vehicles.
