'31 cadillac carb parts

Need 2 float operating levers from Cadillac Johnson carbs. Rebuild kits contain everything but these levers. Someone retrofitted wrong floats to these carbs and they just won't work! Will buy parts carbs if necessary but only need the dual action levers attached to the original cork floats. Thanks!

8,12, or 16? I have some eight's in the barn somewhere. They are difficult to set up correctly. The modern float material and the lower density gas will cause binding issues. I would run a brass float on the cast hinge arm. They work better than cork or the modern stuff. I have driven my 31 Caddy's thousands of miles, they are a difficult carb to set up and keep from leaking gas. Send me a PM with your phone number if you like. PS What is your first name?

Is the 12 carb piece different from the v-8?

I have them for the 8.

Not sure. That's the problem, we don't have the original floats or linkages. I'm guessing they probably are the same.

The floats themselves ARE DIFFERENT. The 12 and 16 use the same float but the 8's use a different float.

Without disassembling two carburetors, I am not certain about the arms.

The hinges are the same all engines 30 and '31 '32 is different used on the V-8 type 12 Carb only , Pete Sanders may have them (at a price) Johan
