Guest 55Chev
Hi, allI found 2 of these old rear view mirrors but I haven't been able to find out what car/truck they came from. Anyone know, by any chance?
Dandy Dave
Could be wrong, but that V looks like it has Ford written all over it. Late 50's, Early 60's with V8's. May be an after market item.
Marty Roth
That was my thought as well, late last night, but wanted to think about it again......now agree, and more likely aftermarket with mounting holes for big sheet metal screws into door/fender from above, rather than bolts from below into mirror and clean base surface....just my opinion. Fleek
They look aftermarket to me That many exposed screws are not usually seen on production cars. The screw just below the mirror would most likely be used to adjust the angle of the mirror to the base for various applications.
Guest Skyking
Saw these on Ebay, most likely aftermarket.http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pair-of-V8-Door-Mounted-Mirrors-Chrome-Unknown-Maker-Ford-Chevy-Hot-Rod-Custom-/181286813297?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a35893e71

bhambulldog
I agree with the othersthe horizontal adjustment screw gives an almost 90 degrees of swing for adjustment. Most telling of an aftermarket piece
