MrEarl
If the pictures are still in an email feel free to email them to 1954buick@gmail.com and I'll post them up for you. Or if you have saved them to your computer then just go the Reply to Thread box, run you arrow over the icons at the top of that box and click on the Insert Image icon. A box will come up giving you two choices, "From Computer" or "From URL". Click on From Computer then Select Files then go to the file where the pictures are stored and double click the picture file(s) you want, then click Upload Files. Your picture should then appear in your post Edited March 30, 2013 by MrEarl deleted pics use as samples (see edit history)

MrEarl
I plan on going over in the next couple of weeks. That 40 Buick Roadmaster w/o running gear would probably cruise along pretty well with a 455 and ST-400 tranny. That 53 Studebaker 2 door could get me in trouble with the wife and all my fitty fo's. That list of parts is pretty nice too. Anybody want to plan on meeting up for walk through.
GARY F
have you contacted the guy? I hope you bring the limited home just to save it. the craigslist ad says the price is less than on the list. it says 2250.00 Edited March 30, 2013 by GARY F added item (see edit history)
FLYER15015
That Limited could get our moderator interested. Please Mr. Earl go save her......................Those pictures make me want to cry......Mike in ColoradoPS Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think it is a Limited, no vent windows in the back. Could it be a Roadmaster or a Century with the sidemounts ? Experts need to jump in here, but she is still worth saving......... Guest BJM
MikeThey had 2 Limiteds in 1940. This one was a Roadmaster (i.e. wheelbase) in 1939 and they called it a Limited in 1940, clearing the way for a new Roadmaster which shared wheelbase with the Super. So, technically it's a Limited but you are correct, there was a 90 series, longer wheelbase 1940 Limited. There is an even rougher one (1940 Limited 80) on continuous loop on ebay that was abandoned in an Indiana storage lot and is listed at $2000 or best offer. I had been in communication with that seller and he would take just about anything to send it to a new home.
Guest Rob McDonald
46 Hudson Pickup Truck, Have Title, $4200,46-47 Hudson Pickup, Complete, $2350,46-47 Hudson Pickup, Solid, $2650MR. EARL, my newly single status means that I have absolutely no life balance or good sense. And, besides, everyone needs a truck now and then. Please advise if all or all of these Hudson pickups is worth driving across the continent to retrieve. Please avoid being practical.
MrEarl
Before you go trusting my judgement as to whether something is worth driving across the continent to retrieve, you may be interested in seeing some of the junk I have driven "half" way across the continent to retrieveStill trust my judgement on those Hudsons? ...which by the way I don't know jack about. But hey, if I can ever get over there, I'll check them out
Guest Rob McDonald
Your consistant impracticality is irresistible. The only differences between an old Buick and a Hudson truck are the number of inline cylinders (eight vs. six), the in-headness of the valves (over vs. under), and the truckness - or not - of the back of the vehicle. Otherwise, the same. Just please give these trucks a critical once-over, if you do go take a look, and tell me if I ought to contact the owner. Oh heck I may just call him anyway, just 'cause I'm curious. Maybe he's already got photos he can send me.
