DAVE A Posted February 22, 2013 Share Posted February 22, 2013 I was made aware of a system that is not a brush but a spray. If I understand the process it is similar to a powder coat. AACA Ontelaunee Region member Barry Seel bought a kit and he states that the result is "pretty good". He says not as good as show chrome but acceptable for driver quality. One that has a 5-star review rating is over $50.00. Their computer link wasn't working, so I will try tonight. I want to read the reviews. nickelroadster Posted February 23, 2013 Share Posted February 23, 2013 Caswell makes a nickel kit that is pretty similar. Works sort of ok but not good for anything very big. I would think that the current requirements of chrome (about 10x that of nickel) would make this very dubious. Even if it did work, I could see it taking many hours to get anything done. It is about the size of a dish pan and of course, will only do small parts. Like door handles, window cranks, small hardware, and things like that.There is a certain amount of skill involved.
