vergil
 Checking everything out on my '16 I noticed that the tail light bulb is barely visible with the headlights on. On "dim" it is super bright. Any ideas? I am not good with auto electrics. Thanks!Bill
Guest 1930
Does it get brighter when you rev the engine?
1936 D2
Check that all grounds (earths) are clean and tightly connected. Poor grounding is one of the things that can make lighting look like it is running "backward" sometimes. The current will find whatever path there is to make a complete circuit. So give it the easiest one!
TonyAus
Check to see that the tail light is connected to its own terminal on the light switch. Sounds as if it has been connected to the headlight circuit.
Steve9
Spray paint the inside of the taillight bucket with white or silver to give as much reflection as it can, too.
35cz8
I once used aluminum foil to make a reflector for the tail light on a 1936 Dodge and it helped a bunch.
