I've been on and off the forums for a while. Have two 1970 Buick Electra Convertibles.

Just bought my first Riviera! Looking forward to starting the restoration process!

(Need to finish my 1969 428CJ Cougar Convertible first!)

She's a 1965 GS Red/Black, Decor Int, Wood Wheel, AC, PW, PS, Rear Def

Looking forward to getting to know everyone.

Where are you located at where did you find the car? Any pictures you can share? I also have a red/black 65 GS!

It was originally red with black interior.

Then painted white. Been stripped to bare metal and epoxy primered.

LMBO...It's Ok, I think Teal Mist looks Glacier Blue.:o

Just because I don't know, and I may put it away for future reference, is the primer green because of the color your going to paint it?

Just got out to look at the new project.

Turns out the car was silver (ZZ) Black Deluxe int (628)

Build date (03c) - not sure how to decode that

Options

E-EZI Glass ??

X- PW

S- Auto Trunk Release

2K - A/C

R - Rear Seat Speaker

3B - ??????

4F - Remote Mirror

5K - Door Guards

W - Seat Belts w/ retractors

Checked Engine #'s and it is a numbers matching LX code block!!!

I'd paint it back to original Silver at this point. IMO, I don't like red on these cars. Matter of fact, I don't like red on many cars, except maybe a first or second generation Corvette, and Ferrari's.

Congratulations

I happen to like the red, which is why I bought it.

Mine was formerly a "ZZ" also

Paint it any color you want, but I always like to keep them in the colors that were offered that model year.
