Are these Dodge Brothers?

Hi guys,

I got these with some Model A parts. They are unmarked as far as I can tell, but after a little internet research, I think they're pre-1925 Dodge Touring. Am I right? I need 31 Ford 4-door Phaeton irons; anybody want to swap?

R/ Roger.

Can you take some measurements? I'll post a diagram when I get home from work. How wide are they at the body mount pivot? I'm looking for a set for a 25 Dodge touring car and these certainly appear close. I don't have anything to trade though (except cash of course).

Hi all,

MikeC5; your measurements are as follows:

A=25.5"

B=16"

C=12"

D=10.75"

E=13.5"

F=10.25"

G=7.625"

H=14.5"

I=27"

J=28"

K=79.5"

Width at pivot mounting ~54"

Please let me know what you think they are, and if you're interested in them. Thanks.

R/ Roger.

It's close but I'm not sure close enough. Overall it appears to be about 8 - 9 inches shorter than known 25's I've had measured. The body width is about right (I measure 56 on my car). I'm going to Hershey and will be looking closely at some 25 DB touring cars in person so I should have a better idea what can work when I get back. I am hoping to find a set of 25 top irons of course. I will keep an eye out for 31 Ford 4-door phaeton irons too.

490 Chevrolet was manufactured from 15 to about 22 I think. Just a body designation

Not quite. 490 was the original price in dollars. Daimler used a similar idea for their Conquest - its original price was 1066 pounds.
