CarlLaFong
I wonder why it was stored in the garage of an empty house?

durant frank
Got to agree with Jeff.Doesn't look that bad to be a total loss. Even the tail lights are not melted.Frank
Guest rsd9699
Having lost 3 cars in a house fire over 20 years ago - it is a total lose. It would be an excellent candidate for a frame off total restoration but It can not be patched and brought back to life. Smoke damage is in every little crack and crevice.Ron
Pontiac59
If the tires didn't pop and the plastic didn't melt, it's certainly savable.
1957Birdman
The headline in the story is misleading. I think damaged is more appropriate, not destroyed. Depending how much it was insured for it may not be a total loss at all and definitely looks restorable, from what can be seen.
