Centurion
Among the milestones of American industrial design was Kelly Johnson's magnificent propliner -- the Lockheed Super Constellation.Seattle's Museum of Flight recently displayed its example, and I knew that opportunities might be limited to capture a photo of the mighty Constellation with the 1959 Electra.Today was one of those perfect (dry but overcast) days for shooting photos, so the Electra made the glorious trek up Interstate 5, arriving just in time for a Memorial Day take-off of the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress. Here are a few of today's photos: Edited May 31, 2011 by Centurion (see edit history)

Guest gunjeep444
Nice shots. There is a Constellation parked at the Salina, Kansas airfield. Been there for years. You can see it just west of the highway as you head south. Over by a big hanger.
Guest Rob McDonald
I think the Buick looks more poised to fly than the big old Lockheed. TCA morphed into Air Canada and ushered in, for us, the modern travel era of tiny seats and peanuts for dinner.

Guest 75RivGS
beautiful photos..Thanks for sharing.Shouldn't be a hard job to photoshop (a new verb ) the first picture so that the plane, fence and building in the background disappear.
