Greyhound is great if the weight doesn't bring the cost up and the receiver is near a Greyhound terminal. I have had good luck shipping engines with R+L truck line. They are an LTL, less than full trailer load, shipper. If they don't serve your or the receivers area there are other shippers like them. Car engines I have shipped have gone up to 700 miles for less than $250. With R+L you have to have a trailer height dock or a way of loading or unloading the shipment as they will just drop it on the ground.
