alsfarms
Hello Layden,I would guess that it is a floorboard, for a left hand drive car. This would be the piece that fits up to the bottom of the steering column. It appears that it even has the opening for the horn wire. I guess that it would have been from a truck as the pedal ports are not in this piece as you would typically see on a passenger car. Another idea is that it could be right hand drive and with the horn or choke port on the top. It it were oriented that way, the clutch and brake pedal ports would be found in the next lower floor board. I wish I knew exactly what it is???Alan
keiser31
I don't think that it is a floorboard given the "bead" in the metal and it looks to be thin sheet metal which was not typically used for floorboards in the early cars. To me, it looks to be an outer body panel.
Curti
My first thought that it is a splash apron. The cutout section is for a rear spring shackel.
