dep5
Parting it out would attract too much attention so I would expect that the chassis will find a new home cloaked in a repro body, the easiest way to hide it.
trp3141592
Hi,It occurs to me that the cretin who stole this car, assuming he's not parting it out, will have to title and plate it to drive it. Your police authority can keep tabs with the 50 states' departments of motor vehicles and check out any new or recent title or plate applications for a 35 Auburn. There can't be many of them, so any that appear are worthy of investigation.God, I hate thieves! Grrrrr!!--Tom
Guest rockerarm
My guess is someone who is thinking "streetrod", took it. I know some street rodders in the area and will put the word out to watch for it.

auburnseeker
Looks like the owner got it back and put it in another open shed all be it now with a badly bent door. Seems now they have finally decided to part with it before it turns to complete junk. What is one of these worth in this shape?I think with an opening bid of 5,000 and a reserve he must be looking for atleast 10,000. Curti
I think 5-7 is realistic. there is no title.
auburnseeker
That was my gut instinct price as well. I think he's hoping for more.

auburnseeker
I would of thought just assault and battery having ruined that door. Another quality citizen your tax dollars are paying for. Weren't you able to shoot somebody in the old day for stealing your horse? It would sure save alot of litigation.
Curti
When I saw the car on eBay, I first called the number of the police dept in the OP, No answer???? I then called the Vic Zannis, he then relayed the story to me.
