headed for ft leonard wood MO on wed

i am heading down to ft leonard wood for my sons graduation into the army

he has made it the tough way,

he is now a combat enginer

and specializes in BLOWING thing up

what every small town boy wants to know

i am a very proud parent of the man he has become over the last few years and how he has over came alot of things in his life and turned them all for the better

he will be coming home with us for a few weeks and then he is stationed in ft drum NY

so if anyone see's him up there he is a big buick lover as well

he ownes a 70 wildcat and a 68 wildcat, both 2dr coupes and both bucket seat consol cars

i will shed a few tears when he crosses the stag

and you deserve to be proud Greg. I was in 8th Engineers in the Marines. Never blew up any bridges but helped build a couple. Give him a hand shake and salute from MrEarl when you see him.

I stay in St Robert (Ft Leonard Wood) twice a year... Would have loved to talk some "Buick" and "Army" with your son, but the next time I'll be there is in October. (and will be passing by in August while on my roadtrip to CA on the Mother Road (Rte 66) in.... a '68 Wildcat 2dr)

Congrats! My son did his basic training there 20 years ago. Both boys served in the local guard unit with me. I had 3 years active, including a Vietnam tour, then finished out my 20 in the armor unit here.
