Chris Paulsen
Hi all,What is it? It has a 1909 NJ license plate. I believe it was on a NYC to Atlantic City Run.Thanks,Chris PaulsenMcPherson, Kansas
Guest austincar6
Well Professor Paulsen,The hub caps look like they have an H on them. The head light set up high. I think its a Hupmobile.Any other guesses?
nzcarnerd
Hupmobile didn't do anything other than a runabout until 1911. They were a very light car on an 86" wb. This car looks to be a lttle bigger than that. Hup did not use a tube front axle.
nzcarnerd
Maybe it is a Herreschoff - 1909 was their first year. Wheelbase was 100 inches which would about match this car.
Chris Paulsen
I just looked at the original photo again. I am not convinced it is an "H" on the hubcap.I'll scan it again and enlarge that area, and try to post it in a little while. Thanks,Chris
Guest austincar6
This may not be a Hupp, but there is a H or something that looks vary close, on the hub cap.Would like to see the enlarged Photo. In the mean time. What cars had a H or something that looked like an H?

TheMoneyPit
The radiator emblem looks like an early Fiat... Any way to enlarge the radiator script?
Chris Paulsen
I was thinking Fiat for one of the other photos I posted. There is no radiator emblem visible on this one. Here's the other car I think may be a Fiat, with a close-up of the radiator. Thanks,Chris
modela28
The radiator looks like a Warren Detroit.
Chris Paulsen
I can't find a Warren Detroit that looks like this. Could it be a Lambert? The couple photos I have show a similar radiator shape, and it's set back like this car, also.
