Guest Bob 55 Special Posted July 14, 2009 Share Posted July 14, 2009 I believe my 55 Buick should be in the DPC class.. Radial tires, Halogen Headlights, Pertronix Electronic Ignition... I have upgraded the vacuum wipers to electric would this disqualify the car? The interior is worn (Frayed but still original). Exterior is nice...Any feedback would be most helpful. I'm not to far from Topeka so that would be a good possibility..ANy where other than the Judging guide Lines to read about the DPC? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
R W Burgess Posted July 14, 2009 Share Posted July 14, 2009 Bob, bring that '55 Buick on. They'll love to see it. A lot of DPC cars have radial tires. As far as the engine, as long as it's not a Ford or a big block Chevy engine in your engine bay, you have nothing to worry about. The whole point of the DPC class was to get new people interested in our meets, without having to have a perfect show car. A car can be DPC certified and if the owner later chooses to enter it into class judging that is fine but he can not keep going back and forth between classes. novaman Posted July 15, 2009 Share Posted July 15, 2009 If I remember correctly going from DPC to Class judged you need to turn in the badges like just like you would do if you "recycle" your car and go for your 1st Jr again.
