  1. Well, does anyone know where I could find an owner's manual? I am also looking for a hood release and a window pump for a good deal, I just need ones that work nothing fancy.
  2. Well, I probably will take it to a professional place, My '41 is more of a workhorse than a show car, I use it for pleasure driving as well but, I also haul stuff from Lowes and Home Depot in the massive trunk! It was my grandpa's car and I got it for free after it sat for over 20 yrs outside. it runs perfect and I drive it at highway speeds and the rust is limited at the moment but, I do not want it to spread, I am a 19 yr. old college student on a limited budget trying to figure out some options!
  3. Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it! if anyone else has anymore ideas, post a post!
  4. I am looking for any parts for my '490' If anyone has any or knows someone who does, post a post!
  5. I have absolutly no experience in rust repair, but, I have some rust bubbled up on the bottom area of my running boards and I heard that you should grind it down then use corroless and then some body filler. If anyone has any other Ideas, I would appreciate any help!

  7. Thanks!, The 'o' is overdrive right? And do you push that in?And What is that little knob above the hood release?
  8. Would you happen to have any pics.?
  9. What does that set of knobs on bottom part of the left side of the dash do?
  10. My '41 Dodge had the same problem, with compression. What my mechanic did was that he carefully oiled and tapped the cylinder and got it up and running, it takes alot of patience but it will save you money. My mechanic was an older guy in his late 70's and he knew that it did not need rebuilding and he saved me thousands. I drive the car almost everyday on the crowded s. CA fwys. at 65mph. with the original engine and running components. My 1948 Lincoln Continental that was my dad's dad's I found 15 years after he sold it, it has a late 40's or early 50's Merc V-8 engine in it and it runs perfect. The eng. dates back to before my grandfather bought it in the mid 1970's. I would have liked to have had the orig. eng. but it was changed long before my time. How many classic cars these days has the orig. eng.?
  11. I have some rust bubbles near my running board on my 1941 Dodge coupe and I heard that you should grind the rust down to the level of the metal, then use the rust eliminator then use corroless and then some body filler. I have absolutly no experience in this and would appreciate any help. Thanks
  12. How many 1941 Dodge 3 window buisness coupes were made? And what are they going for these days? I am having a problem with the coverage on mine and I am going to have to make my case! I would appreciate any help, thanks!

  16. Well, I am looking into buying a specific one, I am waiting for the guy to send me some pics. It was my grandpa's car and he sold it about 15 yrs. ago, so, I have been looking for it for the past 2 years, and I found it, I just do not want to be ripped off, It is a coupe and no,there is no V-12 with the car, I will be able to know more once I get the pics. I am just going by what the owner told me, and I am just loking for a ballpark figure. Because I want to make sure that I will be paying the right price, not to high.
  17. What will happen to Chrysler now, that it has been sold to auto investors. And what will happen to the auto industry as a whole?
  18. I am wondering how much a 1948 Linc. Cont. is worth with good paint, chrome, interior. Except that the engine has been replaced with a 60's Merc. engine and the driver's seat needs to be recovered? I am looking into buying one and I want to make sure that I am getting a good deal.
