  1. The wheels are made by a company called Fondmetal - they make high end wheels for euro cars. Contact them and ask them.
  2. Y'all aren't the only ones irritated by this guy. He had no business buying the white TC off ebay in the first place. He didn't buy it because he wanted to fix it up or because he cared. He thought he could flip it and make a quick buck. Clearly he doesn't understand the market or people. It isn't very smart to come bragging that you got the car for only $1900 then try to flip it for $3 grand more to the same people you just bragged to. Everyone here knew about the car. If someone wanted it, they would have outbid you for it on ebay. Except in its condition, it was only worth about $2500, not $4900. Did you REALLY think anyone would pay you an extra $3k for the privilege of keeping the car for 3 days and not putting a penny into it? And he was already sitting on another TC that he was trying to sell because he didn't have time for it. And then the threats - "Buy my car or I'm going to scrap it". Kinda like "Buy my puppy or I'm gonna shoot it." Not for that price. As a result of his GREED, not one, but TWO perfectly good driving TC's are now piles of junk. Tom, do our cars a favour and stay away from any future TC's. Clearly you don't care about the car.
  3. Fredg, I have both a tonneau cover and a fender, although they are red. I am close enough to Charleston that we could meet half way.
  4. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">how about its poor and il save myself the trouble </div></div> I say again, it's no small wonder that most of your parts are getting thrown away vs. sold. I'll pass on your $100 battery tray. The scrap man might give you fitty cent.
  5. Twin Cam suggested bending it; I suggested that it somehow got shifted. Two diff approaches to the same thing I guess.
  6. My old 2.2 had the coil pick up wire strung too tightly from the factory. It intermitently shorted out, especially on accelleration, and yes it was just like the car shut off for a sec. Once the wire was replaced, never again was it a problem. It would also have hard start when hot.
  7. I wasn't expecting you to give it away, nor was I asking you to. I was saying I was interested in it if it wasn't cracked or broken.
  8. Here is the pic Fil was trying to post -- pretty sharp!
  9. I will take the battery tray, if it isn't broken or cracked.
  10. Holy Grail Item # 2....... Battery Tray is Item # 3....
  11. Do you need the whole lock mechanism or just the rocker switch for the door lock?
  12. Ah... That is a Holy Grail Item. I would recommend you go to a scrap yard and find one from a LeBaron or Daytona....
  13. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body"> 1. Plasic thingy that goes on the fuel release door. Trying to avoid the toilet shimy thing from Wal-Mart. </div></div> Filbert, I'm not quite sure what you mean by this. Opening the fuel filler door, I don't see any plastic on the door; however, on the inside of the door "frame" above and below the latch mechanism, there are two rubber "bumper" thingies" that keep the door from vibrating. Are these what you need? If so, I have them. Also, do you mean the actual large rocker switch-type button you push to lock the door? I have that too.
  14. Silly question... Has your lock mechanism perhaps worked its way loose and has shifted, therefore not lining up with the latch? I know, it's really obvious, but sometimes those are the things we miss.
  15. At the bottom of the screen when you are posting, there is a link for "File Manager (Total Files: 0). <span style="font-weight: bold">Click</span> on this. 17. Is there something wedged in the back of the box, in the hinge area, that is making the box lid slightly out of alignment? Doesn't take much, even a toothpick can be enough to flex things enough the lid won't line up and latch.
  18. I can take a look and check the condition of mine. I'm guessing it is ok because everything on the car worked and the car started and ran without any electrical problems before disassembly.
  19. A few precautions: When you open up the antenna case, everything is coiled like a spring and covered in a graphite-type lubricant. If you're not careful, the plastic gear will "spring" out at you and spread the lubricant on everything it touches. Also, be careful in noting how everything is arranged and the order you remove the parts. When you take it apart and try to reassemble, what intuitively looks right turns out not to be correct and will not allow you to re-close the case.
  20. Filbert, the long flat leather strip is actually a piece of sheet metal covered in leather, which has about 6 plastic snap-in clips. You won't break the metal piece. I started at the passenger side with the single clip at the pointed end and worked my way to the left from there. I used the opportunity to clean out the debris that accumulated under the strip, clean and condition the leather and reattached.
  21. I would try murphy's oil soap. It won't hurt the leather. You can buy either the paste, the thicker liquid or the spray. I would buy the liquid and put some on a spongePut the car in the shade, make sure the leather is cool to the touch and take some of the liquid and put it on a sponge and sort of rub the sponge over the gooey spot and then leave it covered with the sponge for about 5 minutes or so. Pick up the sponge and see how much it has softened. You may very well be able to simply use the sponge and rub the adhesive off at this point. Might need a second treatment. You can wipe down your whole dash, too.
  22. You will need to remove the headlight knob and I believe (going from memory here) there are screws back by the windscreen.
  23. The windscreen is the only body part that interchanges.
  24. Most likely it is a bulb problem. Usually when the flasher relay goes, it isn't sudden, but slowly stops working (either the flash sequence speeds up really fast or slows down to a snail's pace depending on the relay itself), and usually affects both turn signals and the hazard lights.
  25. I have a red one for sale - passenger side, but mine is red and would have to be repainted. $20
