  1. 90's and 91's I believe are 100% interchangeable; it's the '89's that have some variation.
  2. Definitely ask the country of origin of the hides. Avoid middle eastern or oriental leather. Connolly hides are very nice. Lou has it right also. Leather will stretch and sag if not sewn properly.
  3. If yours is the same prob as I had, I bought replacement grommits at Autozone and reattached and I'm back in the wiper business.
  4. I don't think you are whining. I see this every day and not jsut in car parts. IMHO a fair price is what a buyer and seller mutually agree upon. There have been a few comments made here and elsewhere about pricing, and it all boils down to what someone is willing to pay. That is what establishes what something is worth. I am also of the opinion that if someone is not willing to post a price on something they are selling, then most likely the price isn't fair since they are afraid to post said price. Personally, I'm not going to waste my time asking. There is also a difference between an asking price and a selling price. Sure, there are people out there asking $800 for a headlamp. But are they getting that price? I'm guessing probably not. If the parts aren't selling at the prices you are asking, odds are you are over-priced since so many parts for these cars are hard to come by and are a desireable commodity. Using a salvage yard to price your parts doesn't make much sense since EVERYONE knows that junk yards are overpriced. I mean when you can buy a part new or remanufactured for less than you can buy used and abused at a junk yard... think about it. I have sold a lot of parts here. I try to price fairly and I post all my prices on my website. I am not out to gouge someone. Compared to some, it seems I have given away many of my parts but I would rather help someone keep their car on the road or looking nice than make the absolute top $$. I ask enough to make pulling the parts worth my while, but I would rather move the parts and help others rather than sit on them. Some others say the same thing, but still price themselves at the top end of the market. I guess they aren't really interested in selling quickly. JMO.
  5. Sorry for the delays in responding to everyone - I've been out of town. I don't have any good plastic parts from the seatbelts or the seat trim; the one piece I had is sold and the others are junk. The windscreen is still available - I'm in Fredericksburg, VA. I was looking through the shop manual trying to figure out how to remove the turn signal stalk - the instructions aren't very clear, but I will give it a shot today.
  6. When we replaced the turbo on Guido, when we discovered where the starter was, we just went ahead and replaced it as well. Figured since we had everything apart it made sense. But yeah, that was a pretty stupid design for locating the starter.

  8. Bill, I had an 86 GTS and I put Koni adjustables on it; that car handled like it was on rails! I wish I still had mine. I really miss that car. I think Daytona springs will work since the car is a Daytona platform.
  9. I have Geico and a 91 Jeep. I was in an accident with it, which "totaled" the vehicle according to the insurance estimate. They said the damage was $3200 I believe and tried to tell me the vehicle was worth $1800. I asked them how they came to that number and they said it is "fair market value". At which point I laughed in the adjuster's face and DARED him to find one for less than $3000 ANYWHERE. I had already done the research and could not find a 90-92 Jeep withi 500 miles for less than $2900 and it had 250,000+ miles on it. So, they paid me my money based on $3000 replacement value. My point is, find out what each insurance company bases their payouts on; Blue book (joke) or Fair Market, and then show them that $3-4000 is a more reasonable replacement value than $1200. Defy them to find a replacement for $1200 in comparable condition. Put it on THEM to show you it is only worth $1200.00.
  10. Hi Ed, See above post - Sold to Bill K. Thanks for asking though!
  11. No Problem. Thanks for letting me know.
  12. Hey Lou, Don't know if it helps, but under the hood back by the cowl on the driver's side (behind the hood pad) is the colour code designation for the paint. You have to really twist your neck around to see it. I don't know if it is enough info or not but just a thought.
  13. Oh, Hey Lou... do you need a tranny? What was the deal with yours? S
  14. Is this what you are looking for? I also have its mate that is on the hood itself. Let me know if I got it right!
  15. jmn, I have the spare tire liner. It is in one piece, no cracks or anything. It does show some signs of wear, etc. It is not perfect but it is very serviceable; it has the rubber retaining strap and clip, and the other clips where the various things are kept. I thought it would be a simple job of removing it -- remove the screws holding the chrome trim ring... HA! It is pop-riveted in place. I will need to drill out the rivets. No big deal. But, if it isn't what you are looking for (i.e. show room new) then I don't want to bother. If you are looking for a serviceable piece, then I'll be happy to take it out. Make sense? Let me know!
  16. Spare tire cover has been sold to Bill K - pending payment (which I'm sure is coming as he's been waiting nearly 2 months for me to find the darn thing!) Give me a bit to go out and check the spare tire compartment....
  17. It won't let me edit, so just noting that both tops are SOLD!
  18. Sorry, the only light/lenses I have left are the side marker lights and the right rear tail light.
  19. Thanks, Alan. I'm hoping someone will want the rest. I have the other smaller parts I've pulled to sell boxed and labeled and on the website. Still have more pics to add! My philosophy is cars are meant to be driven and if I can help someone get their car going, or keep it on the road, then I feel good about doing my part to help. I've had people help me out in the past with difficult to find parts, so I'm trying to pass on the good Karma, so to speak. I've met some really nice people as an added bonus!
  20. Oh, if only you said passenger side.........
  21. I'm so sorry; I thought I did reply. I don't have them. Again, my apologies.
  22. As I venture further into dismantling Guido's clone, I find that some of the interior parts are in really nice condition. How that happened is beyond me, but nonetheless.... I have the grey tonneau cover insulating liner with attaching clips. The liner is in near perfect shape. As an added bonus, the liner has the ORIGINAL decals for operating the top and tonneau cover, and they are MINT. Asking $25.00 plus shipping.
  23. I have a really nice burled wood gear shift knob for sale. It is for an automatic and comes with the center button carved with the Chryslerati emblem. Asking $40+ shipping.
