1.

Here's a set of 4 1973 Chevy 15" wheelcovers. We took them off a car we junked many years ago. These are 'driver' quality and not recommended for a show car. All have small dings and blemishes and one is missing the center Chevy bowtie emblem. They also need cleaning from sitting. $25.00 + shipping for the set. I take PayPal and only ship to USA addresses. Harold

Also have 1994 Mercury Villager (staple holes for m business card in cover), 1995 Dodge Caravan, 1994 Chrysler Concorde, 1997 Ford RV and Trailer Towing, 1972 Chrysler, 1973 Chrysler, 1968 Corvette. Have others, will add them as I find them. Can provide pictures of brochures not shown. I take PayPal and only ship to USA. Harold
3. Attention bargain hunters: I want to get this off my shelf. Price reduced to $12.00 postpaid by media mail in USA. Once you figure postage, PayPal fee, gas to and from the Post Office, and a few cents for shipping supplies, I might be able to buy a Big Mac and fries with the proceeds.
4. Maybe that's a good thing....it shows that there are younger enthusiasts on this forum who don't know about how keys and parking lights were configured years ago.
5. Bring lots of money for the Verrazano Bridge toll...it's $15.00!
6. One item that hasn't been mentioned is that you should consult with an eldercare attorney about financial strategies for your father's future. The last thing you need is for the IRS or another government agency to come in and decide that he (or his estate) owes a lot more money than you think. It's a sneaky last shot at grabbing people's wealth and many people have been unpleasantly surprised when it happens.
7. For what it's worth, I used the Staten Island office to do my VIN amendments because I lived there at the time.
8. In order to settle how many keys this car takes, I'd try looking in the owner's manual to see what it says. The manuals always explained the keys. If you don't have the owner's manual, try downloading one from this site: http://carburetor-manual.com/1953-pontiac-owners-operators-manual-free-download-p-825.html I found the site on the link with a quick Google search and haven't tried it. There may be others. If you're worried about the wiring behind the dash, hot-wire the car from under the hood and forget about the keys. If you want ideas about starting a stored engine just say the word and you'll get lots of advice here. A running engine is worth its weight in gold. Try a farm supply store for your battery. Old agricultural equipment uses six volts and plenty of them are still in service. The cleaner the car is the quicker it will sell. Rusty O'Toole had some excellent clean-up techniques a few replies up this thread. Read and heed. Hope this helps. Good luck. Harold
9. I amended the paperwork on several old cars from 'motor number' to 'VIN' when I lived in New York and also found the NYS DMV to be pleasant to work with. The last time I did this was over 10 years ago and there was no physical inspection required at that time. On every car I did, all they required was a pencil tracing of the VIN and an insurance card in my name with the VIN instead of the motor number. They would then issue a transferable registration (no titles in NY for cars made before 1973) in my name.
10. This owner's manual has been on my shelf for decades. It came from my uncle's '55 Century that he bought new. The only images I've found online show the owner's manual with a red cover. This one is green. Did Buick change the manuals mid-year? Is it any more valuable than a red one? Thanks for any ideas. Harold

Hubcap ID

That's the truth. A friend has been collecting/selling hubcaps for decades and very few people are buying nowadays. He'll list 100 pieces on eBay and sell two (maybe). He lamented to me that his lifetime hoard is just about useless at this point and he's pretty bummed-out.
12. Two full-color sales catalogs covering the SAAB 900, one 1980 and one 1981. Highly detailed with lots of great information. Both in good condition with minor wear. Your choice, $12.00 each or both for $20.00, postpaid in USA. PayPal is fine. Harold
