  1. Condensor I'm pretty sure is 30-32 Packard as the number matches. I believe the rotor is 28-32 8 cylinder Packard, hopefully picture will confirm?
  2. OK, We have numbers...nothing like a wire brush... D-R Lovejoy, Made in U.S.A. #822492 R-31 & 822491 R-17 Delco-Lovejoy Made in Dayton U.S.A.# R 56 1053005 & 27 1053004 D-R Lovejoy #822491 R6 & 822492 & 8 R
  3. Any help here? Me thinks early GM, light cars, Buick, Pontiac? Tell me where to look for numbers and I'll get the wire brush out. thank you.
  4. Identity confirmed, 1930 Buick 40 series. "coming soon to an ebay near you" thanks
  5. Thank you, Stuart. I did find where the carburetor is definitely stamped 10-750, which is definitely 1930 40 series, so I think we can close this case as "mystery solved" Thank you for your response. "coming soon to an ebay near you" And yes, shipping to Australia is no problem...
  6. I strongly suspect this is 1930 Buick or Marquette, based on 8-29 and 3-30 casting dates in manifold, Buick script in casting, and suitable Marvel era carb and air filter. What I don't know is what series (Marquette or Buick) - and if it fits more than one year or model. I'd really appreciate some Buick help here....I'm a Packard guy and this is totally foreign territory for me. You need it? Fair offer owns it! Thank you very much. Also posted in Pre-War Buick forum.

  9. OK, two more buried treasures from the attic of the barn, Remy 185A which I understand to be 1916 starter (to go with the 241A generator also available), and Northeast R3581 for 1920-21 Models T-6 and U-6. Thank you LaytonB for the ID. Note that the R3581A is application 1921-25 T-6, not sure what the update was, but this R3581 might be useful as a spare? Need to find good homes for these, anybody out there? Fair price buys...
  10. pictures posted up in the "what is it" forum...barn find as in still dirty and untested. And yes, I now know the 241A is the generator with distributor mount. Fair offer and its yours...

  17. Yes. Continental Enterprises in Kelowna, BC Canada. The prime business is continental kits for 1950's cars. quick google search will easily identify. Call or email to the attention of Sam Bronstein and tell him I told you to inquire directly. Mention my name and it'll surely cost you more....
  18. So we have reached a dead end? Closed companies, no old school foundary's, Gomer and Sgt. Carter have left the thread, and we are left with no sources for reasonably priced high tech (or old tech) part reproduction. Secret sources still with the secret recipe...
  19. The simple answer is the two attempts to cast this part based on a sample have failed due to shrinkage, and the rework cost to get it to function was considerable. In theory a master caster might know where and how much to add to a sample, but I have not had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Master Caster yet. I am hoping this thread might encourage a discussion of such resources, either "old school" or a shop with newfangled computer guided tools willing to undertake low quantity projects.
  20. Stick to your price - the last pair I sold for $800. You might want to take closeup pictures of any cracks in the rims.
  21. I'll put this out there again as this thread deserves any help it can get. Is there anyone out there who knows of a company that can duplicate parts for a reasonable price. I am specifically referring to parts that are a bit more challenging, such as the windshield frame base I mentioned, using newer technology like we see on "Modern Marvels", the NASA channel, etc. I am not famous, do not have unlimited resources, and would prefer not to send irreplacealble parts made of fragile unobtainium to places where I would have difficulty communicating. I am not looking for a magic genie, I certainly know requests for prototype or one-off samples are not going to be "cheap", but I gotta believe there are shops out there that can do this work....I just don't know where they are. Finding and putting forth such sources would be a great asset to many many of our projects. Thank you.
