I try to make it to the fall show.
-
Factory fan but a non priginal engine where the fan really does not sit where the original fan should,I have it better now but will not het corrected until a correct engine goes in this winter.
-
-
Checked that first and no movement, the fan does not sit centered in the radiator and is not sitting level to the radiator. The engine is sitting down in the rear causing more room at the top of the radiator between the fan then at the bottom, when I put that engine in I put the radiator in the six cylinder position giving me plenty of room but now I want it in the correct location.

I am in the process of getting a original engine ready to go in and cant wait to get it in,I installed a 351-W and it just does not fit right with the kit I used. I need a radiator with a cooler right now so I figured I would get it in before the 272 is ready to go in. Looking back I should have gotten that 6000 mile 1969 390 as it would have fit better and less modifications or just found a 312.

Put the radiator back in the original location in my 55 sunliner and was fine idling on the garage but the fan hit the tadistor by the time I got to the end of the street,I am glad it was a cheap aluminum version instead of a expensive original. I thought I had enough room but one blade was bent, another has been ordered along with a new fan and shorter spacer.

I do not have any that are nice enough to be judged and they have parts from many different years on them so no sense on even trying.

I did not know it was made in large enough pieces to make into a top.
-
If that clear top is made out of the same material as the plastic windows it would scratch very easy and of put down frequently it would not look good very long. I have been installing tops for over 30 years and never seen one before now.

At 60 I should be able to see my 37 Chevy p/u turn 100 but I doubt I will see my 55 Ford turn 100 and not sure if I want to be around then due to how crazy its getting now.

A local antique store had a Seagrave open cab pumper that I was kind of interested in but wanted more then I was willing to pay for it,no engine and had been outside many years but I had visions of putting a straight 8 in it along with a truck 5 speed with overdrive and lighten it up some and make a big roadster p/u out of it.

The trunk would not open on my 55 sunliner while in Florida so I had to go through the well, did not have to remove the seat since the well slid into a retainer but was something trying to get body through that small area.
-
You might be able to go though under the well bur the rear seat will have to be removed but you netter be skinny or send a child into the trunk.
-
If you get one and need parts a local junkyard has a couple but trying to find them in the weeds can be a problem

I use a electric carving knife to cut foam and there are seat buns I can not reproduce since I have no access expensive equipment so I try to find good used.
-
Stay away from the first dealer, heard too many bad things about them. I think you could find one cheaper.

I will check at the local old junkyard the next time I am there.

I think those trans had a cleanable filter and would only need a pan gasket.
-
I hope it would not had ended up like that if I got it.
-
The odometer quit working in my 55 Ford car and is there any where in SW Ohio that repairs them, called Genes in the Cincy area and they only repair digital speedos now.
-
There was another auction site I was on but lost that info a couple computers back and can not remember what it was.

If you go with a 235 try to find a 54 since it has the same water pump as the 216,in 55 the water pump got longer and lower in the block. A adapter is made to put the 54 and back pump on a 55 to 62 235 or 261.
