That cormorant hood ornament is my favorite and one of the best…..only to be eclipsed by the P/A Archer!

Such  hood ornament is forbidden in Belgium and other Euro countries .To sharp .If you hit a pedestrian and he is stabbed you will end up in jail .

  2. Unbelievable! This car needs another frame ...It looks like a nice car at first sight and not much rust to see .Then i read that Fomoco products from 1965 on can have frame damage .Very good to know ! I learn everyday .At the same time i forget everyday also when you are born in 1948.I had my lesson with a Mercedes  i bought that came from Canada .It was looking very good at first sight but it had very bad rust hidden in the bottom .I had to sell it with a loss as i am not such a good welder

Have been checking it over and it seems that important items have been kept up to good standards such as fuel pump, hoses, tires. Going to a small local car show tomorrow with it. I plan on getting it on a rack and just check the under side out. I see it needs a good cleaning underneath. I'm going to put the clear plastic over the seats in order to protect them.. Checked under the seat and there was the jack, tool bag with several tools in it. As for the paint , you just have to live with it.  I did hand polish it just to get some sort of shine out of it.. The original paint is discolored but livable..  As for the running board rubber. It's original but several pieces have fallen off.. I'm still satisified with the purchase.. I've had many , many Buicks in my collecting history and the 1934 and 35 were one of my favorite years. My dad had the 1935 90 Cov. cp..  ,  I had a 1934 90 sedan at one time along with a 34 covt. sedan 60 series... but those are gone.

I am sure i am not alone as being jealous when you bought this car .You did a very good buy .They are only one time  original .Have good luck with it !

  4. You say Europe .I am from Belgium and i can tell you that the people who buy and knew  those cars are to old or gone to heaven  and many of these cars come for sale now down here because that generation is stopping to drive cars .The hottest cars here now are mustangs and porsches because people with a midlife crisis could not buy them when they was young and only could afford a bike .

It is overwhelming to imagine trying to restore this car in Poland!!

BUT if it really was there during the war, I would be overwhelmed with the tales it could tell.

You can see customs clearance in the description meaning this car came from the US not that long ago .If it would have been in Poland since ever it would have a Volga engine and a Lada rear end etc ....
