I mean what the hell. I am seriously considering a 1926 Cadillac convertible (2 door) for $5,000. It would be fun to put this next to it. I am 58, 59 soon. Might be done with them by age 70, enjoy them until I die at age 76 or so, widow sells them for $15,000 each or so.
So you will go at the age of 76, so I am now 74 ( born 1948) and that means i only can count in months anymore till I am gone .I am still looking for cars and i work almost daily on my cars so I am completely wrong and should go to Dubai and enjoy the rest of my leftover days ...Wow !

Thanks you very much for your answers
So the right oil filter is the Napa FIL 1001 , and I can order this filter now .Do you know how much oil to put in ?
I guess all the other members do not realise that we are in Europe and NAPA does not excist here .Buy oil from Napa ??Buy oil in the US ?? are you crazy ? No , i use regular 20-50 oil in my US cars , of course no syntetic oil .How much oil ? fill it up to upper mark of the dipstick , let it run and fill up again to upper mark .Oil filter , that you can order in the US if you don't find it here .But no problem , so many cars drive without oil filter , my cad -1950 has no oil filter since new , citroen traction avant in France never had oil filter .I would take it out look for the number and brand , clean the housing and inside and out put it back and go on internet to look for one .

Sorry , i don't understand what you mean .....I know its not an everyday color .I like the model , plus sidemounts and it doesn't look bad neither .But i am so far away ...
-
Very nice car .I love the green interior and also the outside colors .i didn't know that they have been so expensive when they was new .

Only 46 limos ...possible but they made much more sedans .This one with the separation is for the people without long legs ..This is a punishment otherwise .

Hope to get it running ,driving again .
Wish me luck
I wish you luck also , as i am in Europe and there is no single part of these cars in Europe .You really must be crazy about this model otherwise i cannot understand .Its the same price to ship a car that needs everything than a nice car that you can drive the next day .I know you will be the only one with such car here .I hope to see it one day here in Europe .

He doesn’t seems to keep the website updated. There are many cars that never make it to the website, at all.
OK, I see , his website shows 20 cars sold ( does not interest me much )and 4-5 for sale and then there are cars that he hides so only certain people may know they are for sale .

It even has power steering that early .Cadillac had PS in 1952-3 if I am not mistaken .If it was not that I am in Belgium and that the car is not complete at this moment and that there are always parts missing when something is taken apart I would buy it.Also the $$ is very expensive now and so the exchange rate is very bad also.

Beautiful! Would have been built in the Oakville Ontario plant. Spent much of my youth driving around in rustier versions of this back in the 70's living in Nova Scotia. Where the salt never sleeps!!
When i was in Canada in 1969-70 working at the tobacco farm you saw these cars everyday .

I do not agree .When you buy a car buy what you can pay for .i cannot imagine to get a loan for a classic car .And then on top from a dealer who does handle top prices for cars .i would rather buy from a dealer that also is a member from this group and ask him that when i have a problem that i can bring the car back for about the same amount .
-
This is really a give away price .If I was not in Belgium and i had room enough because I have already to many cars i would buy it asap .But i guess i am not alone in this position .This weekend I am going to the Mannheim swap meet in Germany and promised my wife to buy certainly no car .

Wow , a real barn find , meaning a lot of work to get it back on the road .But it has newer licence plates meaning its been on the road not so long ago .

When i was in Canada as a student from Belgium picking tobacco in the late sixties I saw all those models on the streets with names i never saw before .When i think what i saw behind sheds waiting for the crusher i get sick .

Shame on you old ass men?? I think there is no need to spend more time in this discussion .He thinks he has a piece of gold in his hands and our members told him what they think about it and he does not like what he reads .So let it be .
