1. I like your style Gottablackngrey. I think that Reatta Lovers and Hurst/Olds lovers are the same breed. Classy cars with the attitude and looks of good ol American Muscle. And your so right about wanting more than one, what is up with that? LOL In my searches for Reatta's I always check out the H/O's as well. I think a 1972 would look so good next to my '74 & '83. I have a good friend out here and he has a 1968 H/O. He keeps telling me one day he wants me to have his car and will sell it to me at a fire sale price 'cause he wants the next owner to be me. How cool is that? A few more years and I will have a royal flush! Your cars photo looks stunning! Very nice!
2. I had a red/red 1968 Camaro and really loved that car. What a beautiful combo. I used to show it and had a vase with a single red rose or carnation on the console (sorry guys) The only thing prettier would be red/red with a white convertible top on it. I was at a local Vette dealer and they had a 1975 Corvette/red/red white convertible top. I can't tell you how tempted I was to take it home with me.

1988 Red Reatta

How many miles are on the car? Does the AC work at all, pretty hot here in Arizona this time of year:eek:

1988 Red Reatta

Excuse my ignorance when it comes to wiring harnesses and steering columns but is this car drivable or would it have to be towed?
5. Very nice car! It's strange, I have seen so many red/tan Reatta's, the red/red combo is very pretty! I wish you livd closer, I would love to take a look at your car.
6. Thanks for the greetings guys! I would not mind a fixer upper. Since the resto of my Delta 88 I know people, lots of car people LOL Yes, Doc Watson is a great guy! We had a great time at Indy and next time you see him, mention my name and tell him I send my regards. The Hurst/Olds has a members only forum but the Reatta forum is the best! I emailed Nic Walker and he still has his 1991 vert. for the record. I still have a box full of Reatta parts, I hope to need them some day! A 1991 Red/Red with a white top....would be my choice for sure. With only 3 out there however I need to keep an open mind to other colors I guess!!!
7. Hi all! I wanted to stop by and let you all know I am still out here. I owned a burgundy 1990 coupe and a blue 1989 coupe with 16 way seat as well. I loved both my Reatta's and have recently acquired the bug again. I have been having fun with 2 Hurst/Olds since selling my Reatta's and currently own a 1974 H/O Delta 88 Indy Festival car and a 1983 H/O as well. Both are in show condition. I was the membership coordinator for the Hurst/Olds club of America for 2 years and now I am the director of the club. It's been fun and this summer I had the opportunity to drive my '83 on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. What a blast! I have been searching for another Reatta. I am particularly interested in acquiring a 1991 Convertible. I know they only built 135 vert's so there's that. I am sure if I am patient one will come around at the right price. Too bad patience is not my strong suit!! It's good to see so many familiar names on the Reatta forum--Hi Barney! ( is Nick still here?)

9. That is the correct part number! I have been searching for this item as well and they just don't exist....maybe Big Foot has them all Mine is in decent shape but still stands out....if anyone gets any leads, please post. Would it be possible for a restorer to do thier thing with this part?
10. You should sell them on EBAY...have you considered that?
11. Your sun catchers are quite beautiful, do you have a website? NICE!
12. Hello! I am looking for a trunk escutcheon & emblem for my '74 Delta. Its the thingy that covers the trunk key hole that you push aside to put the key in the cylinder. I either need a NOS or like new, or is you know of someone that restores these thing where I couls sent it into...thanks guys!
13. Hello Gang! I am cleaning the garage today and notice I have the original rear speakers to the 1990 I sold 2 weeks ago. If anyone needs them, just pay for the shipping and they are yours.
14. Thanks for your support DTerry! I agree that one needs a hauler for new appliances, trips to Home Depot, Etc. With 4 cars and no hauler I really liked the idea of not having to always borrow my friends Suburban. The best thing about it is that it's a 2000 model with 30,000 senior drive miles, is in brand new condition and I paid only $4500 for it. It was a real steal. I detailed the Reatta the other day inside and out and it is hard to sell a car when it looks so great but unless I move to another house, one has got to go! It is fun to drive something that is so hign off the ground as well. It really gives you a different perspective from a Vette or Reatta
15. OK...it's a Dodge Caravan Please be kind to me! I had a guy offer me $2000 for the Reatta today. He really knew the car inside and out and claims to have posted on this site but would not tell me his handle. He appealed to my humanity, plead poverty and respectfully requested that I practically give the car away because he would cherish it for many years to come. You know what, 10 years ago I would have probably signed the title and handed it to him. I guess I have finally grown up, what a shame!
16. If I answered that question it may tend to incriminate me and worst yet, you would call me a soccer mom minus the kids. I still own the Vette and the Pace car, as far as the new one, you will have to torture me
17. Hello Guys & Girls- I had posted my 1990 Reatta for sale 2 weeks ago. (Clarnet red/tan interior) I have reduced the price today to $3400 OBO as I have just purchased another car and I am out of room here. It is a very nice car, it just needs a good home, thanks!
18. Hi Guys! I am reluctantly selling my 1990 Reatta - with 4 cars it's really time for one or two to go. It is a Burgandy/Tan with black moldings. It has 125K on it's and they are all female driven miles as I bought it 5 years ago from another woman. It runs very good and everything works. The AC blows cold, the lights pop up and down quickly, etc. I have the original owners manuel, the salesmans card and other original paper work as well. Tires are in good shape and have been recently rotated. The paint is original and is in overall very good condition. Except for items I have previously posted on this forum, the car has been trouble free and a pleasure to own. On the down side there is a crack in the windshield and if you buy the car it would be something you would want to attend too. Please email me at brengirl@aol.com with additional questions or if you want to see pics. I am asking $3900 and will consider all offers. Thanks and happy motoring!
19. I tried to do a search to no avail...does anyone know off hand which fuse controls the dome light? Thanks!
20. Just a suggestion but if my mechanic could not diagnose problems well, was over his head with my make and model car and charged way too much to boot, I would take it to the dealer for the repairs. We all know dealers charge too much but it sounds like your guy is already charging to much anyway. In the meantime, you can keep looking for a good mechanic that charges reasonable prices
21. Thanks for the tip Doc....money saving advise is always welcome here
22. I recently had this problem and it was the crank sensor (magnet). It did not pull both codes but did pull an code 042...since yours pulled both a 41 and 42 it sounds suspect and like Padgett said, could be a wiring issue. One more note...they charged me 325 total for parts and labor and replaced both the sensor and the mount as well. $700 is way too much...perhaps it's time to find a new mechanic. For what it's worth, I generally dress way down and go to a poorer side of town to find a mechanic. This has worked well for me and if your on a budget could work for you too.
23. I concur that Speedway is the worst, high prices and poor service. I chalked it up to my being female but apparently thier rudeness crosses the gender gap Hey, at least they don't discriminate, that's one good thing I can say about them

R-134

You can buy R134 in auto parts stores....you can't buy R12 however.
25. Wow, I am really surprised they did not know. Thank goodness for this site...It's located on the passenger side of the car, remove the kick panel under the glove box and over where the passengers feet would be. Good luck!
