  1. A friend gave me some Riview issues to get rid of for him.Mostly Vol. 5 thru to the first part of Vol 17. all like new. look in your index & see if you need any.I dont know what to ask for them.I will try 2.00 + postage.Let me know. Norb
  2. Are these the same people that advertised in the Bugle for several months? Norb
  3. The worlds largest gathering of collectible cars started today.each year they start a little earier. However tonight it came to a halt. That part of Mich has no electricity. No stop lights,no stores,no nothing. We have just been told we have to boil our water. This cruise goes through seven cities, each of which has a special event, concert or car show. The big three car makers get involved too.The main part is Sat.so hopefully the power will be back by then.Norb
  4. Last year I parked near-by & went to the GM display With big tents at 13 mile rd.Sometimes they have nice give-aways early Sat morn.Gone by afternoon.Last year they had a big engine display + a lot of cars, old & new.Chev has a display in Birmingham. It,s best to park somewhere and walk around to see everything than to drive up & down Woodward. Norb
  5. Terrific job,Mike, looks like a lot of work
  6. At Patsy Lou,s today I looked at a Regal GSX. It had it embroidered on the back of the seats.I cant remember what else was different. Not much.I liked it though.
  7. We got the whole area cleaned up yesterday & it is always sad to see a place where there were so many happy people that is now empty.I did not get a chance to talk to you or many others but I saw dozens of familiar faces & met some new ones.Greg Fields two sons talked to me,so did Mark Reuss.Terry & Larry signed my book.I met Mr. Bulgari who left one car behind. If we wait 100 years to do this again,I might not make it. Norb
  8. We will try to save some of the papers for you guys because it also had pictures of three of the cars.
  9. You will need proper identifcation,at least two pieces,& birth cert. for children under 16
  10. In the first frame that shows up you can see divison street running though Buick at an angle. At the bottom of the picture on the left is a square building. That is the north end of Buick City.Everything north of that is the remaining part of the Buick complex which still has dozens of buildings.Scroll dn to see the area south of that street that is all gone now. When in Flint Stop by to see many pictures of this area, before & after. Norb
  11. Bring your swim suits, you can wash your car when it rains. Norb
  12. Our band marched in that parade so I remember it well.I have the medalion, papers, book etc.It was the biggest parade I have seen though GM had some very large parades in Flint. That Gold Chevy was lost for many years but I heard it has been found.Buick has had some big shows in Flint also but never again after next month. Norb
  13. That is the same way my car acted just before the fuel pump failed.Put a pressure gage on the fuel rail & check the pressure while cranking or even with the key turned on.
  14. Good job on the June issue of the Bugle.Good idea using the cover for more info this time.It even has a picture of Joe T. on page 4.I guess that adds something to it,but I,m not sure what.Probably make it more collectable in the future.A lot of new members this month too.
  15. The eariest Roster I have is 53 pages,7 by 8 1n. 1970 issue. Nicola Bulgari,of Italy, has 3 Buicks listed.I believe he will be bringing more than that this summer. His membership no. is 178. Only members & cars are listed.Calvin Hugins has 38 cars, from 1927 to 1959.Greg Fallowfield was President & his wife was editor.Dues were 6.00$. This was even before Joe,s time.
  16. When I got my issue out of the mailbox all the pages fell out but it,s no problem.I put them back with white glue & it is fine.It will last forever. Norb B.
  17. Yesterday I went to what,s left of the Buick complex to watch the two 240 ft.powerhouse stacks come down. They were supposed to be one sec. apart but it was raining & the second one shorted out the wires & it took half an hour.I think they were taller than the biggest skyscraper in Flint. That finished the demolition of Buick for now.Buick,s north end still makes many parts for GM plus our famous 3.8 engine. They used dyamite on one side of the chimneys so they fell in one piece lengthwise.Quite a sight but sad. Norb
  18. Skyking states he would like put names to faces, may want to retract that when he sees Joe & me .Joe,s not to bad but I won first place in the ugly contest.
  19. The Buicktown chapter has hosted many Nat. meets, including the first two or three.Would this mean no one chapter would be allowed to host one? I,too, enjoy going to different areas even I dont go to the far south or west.I loved Richmond,Boston,Buffalo,Cinn,Oh, Kings Island & all the rest.A different trip each time.If you get no offers in time, then the board could decide at that time to have the meet at a pretermined location, either east or west. You still have a year or more to make plans. Norb Burwell
  20. The prices being paid for promos on e-bay makes me think about selling my promos & buying something useful like a new lawn mower. Norb
  21. I dont remember any 455,s painted blue but maybe someone with a 76 will let us know if the last year was still red.
  22. I forgot to tell you if in perfect cond it is worth 365.00.It would be very hard to find one that good.
  23. If it is an origional one ,and it probably is,it is worth 215.00 in good condition but only 90 in average cond. The paint need not be perfect to be in good cond. Norb
  24. The Centurion has been in the Buick Gallery for years except when it is loaned out for various exibitions & tours.I belive all of Buick,s concept cars will be here in July. The ones on tour will be at GM headquarters in Detroit until the celebration in Flint and then with the help of the Buicktown chapter will parade from Detroit to Flint.Of course things may change by then. Norb
