FSM shows 4 screws, pull unit out. Is this true? (I've removed the dash trim, yes). Mine seems stuck, snagged, hung up on something solid on right (passsenger) side of unit behind it in the dark, impossible to see region. Left side is clear, "tug" a little on the right and CLUNK; something won't release! I took part of today off to do this, having studied the "less that thorough" FSM (more detail for CC items than IPC) last night. Thought it'd be fairly straight forward. Do I have to go so far as to remove the knee bolster/column cover, etc? ALSO-- re: connector on back of light switch module- do I just give it a light pry, or is there a hidden secret for it?! It looks like the multi connector should come right out, but no. Feel free to call collect at 503 314 6919 OR tell me if I'm NUTS! Thanks to ANYONE willing to get back.

MANY have this problem, and most owners have sent them for refurbishing and had good luck. I'm soon to extract mine and do same. There have been MANY posts. I THINK I printed some info if you'd like to see it.

ALSO-- I'm in Portland, Oregon, and just like with my local musical instrument customers, I'm again finding that MOST smaller car repair people (non-dealership) are liars and flakes. Re: top installiation- does ANYONE know of ANYBODY in my locale that does good work? This area really does seem to s*#k when it comes to honest, professional service. Thanks!

Do all of you have a top that rumbles and bumps when stowed away? I've had OK luck with using a sheet of bubble-wrap placed on it before closing between "door" and top. I also put some on the "platforms". Still, it bumps and thuds. My top is worn, and I will probably replace this summer, but still.. [color:\\"666666\\"] .....

Boy, I wish I hadn't seen this tonight. I've been back and forth with an A.C. repair lately. The "small guy" installed NEW GM compressor, accumulator, and a few other things. No power. Not relay, not "reset", not PCM. Just got quote from dealer (I took it there this morning) that it needed a couple more smaller items, and the accumulator was installed incorectly. 700.00-ish 1st time around, now another 600.00. I told him to do it. What else can I do? Spend another couple days running it all over?? I'm beginning to think all of my town (Portland, OR) in the repair biz is out to get me (us)!!!!!

Anyone know if the antenna is the same in a '90 Eldo and '90 Reatta?? I'd look, but my Eldo is at a friends. I can get a used (Cad) for 30.00, another dealer wants 50.00 for one from a Reatta. It's principle, not fundage.

OK..forgive me, It's not about my Reatta, but regarding my '95 Eldo ATC. PLEASE HELP!!! I'll put you in my will----- My mechanic (he's done quite a few things for me and I trust him) just called about my new compressor (not rebuilt) he installed in my '95 Eldo, but it won't power up! He claims to have FSM access via the web. I just hope one of you fine people might be able to steer us in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

Hi there! I'm usually on the Reatta site, but I just got this Eldorado and am having a little trouble. The alarm test (in manual) does make the alarm work, but "normal" use doesn't. Code problem, perhaps? ALSO, on the key I'm able to open trunk and lock doors, but not unlock. More code stuff? Thanks in advance!!!!

Bulbs are fine, they go on. Left turn STUCK ON (ie: no blinky). Right is as it should be. What I've had happen before(not Reatta) -- no work, need bulb. Anyone had this stuck-on problem before? I sure hope it's not the switch inside the column. Thanks in advance for assistance.

Thanks to all. I've also posted regarding headlights (a while back). Barney, is it indeed the motors that need work (they seem to run) or the "other messy stuff" that needs help? I realize it's impossible to tell from there, but what's your GUESS? I have to go out and "pull them up", they stay..but when shut off they "crash". I have a FSM, but time to do it is a problem. Re: antenna..how do I tell is the part is bent? Thanks!!!!

OK, I've had many power antennas, but NEVER one that won't make the thing come down, but the motor keeps running. And runs and runs. I had to discomnnect the , well, connector. ANY THOUGHTS??!! PLEASE?
