  1. Rick - Still have it, not sure of the shipping across country, I'm located in Washington State (99206). Jim

I'd hate to see the wheel fall off!
  3. Some good info. It worked for me on my Fast Four... http://clubs.hemmings.com/clubsites/durant/. Go to the Special Interest Section and then click on the Wheel Puller link.
  4. With the mohair upholstery and the pulls I would say it is a Deluxe Model. I believe the standard model had leather interior and no pulls (at least in 28). Anyone know if the 124 model was considered a "Fast Four" or did that start with the 128/129 models? I guess I always assumed the 128/129's were the "Fast Fours"
  5. Ken - I would also suggest putting in a fuse as well. In my 28 Fast Four I installed a circuit breaker that I had floating around, but a fuse would be just as good. Just a little added protection. Jim
  6. Terry, nothing embossed on them. I'll let you know if we sell any. My brother likes them as well since he has a Model A and a Model T....
  7. While working on a garage that needed re-siding my brother and I found these Goodyear signs tacked up under the cedar siding to cover up gaps. Unfortunatly, they were all cut in half, but we have managed to piece together 5 or six of them. Some of the arrows point left and some of them point right. I would guess that there are about 25 of these signs if we wanted to rip all the siding off... Any thoughts on what year they may have been manufactured? Any value to them? Just kind of curious....
  8. No doubt! Usually bid what it's worth and then let others take it from there.

  10. Really don't know much about it. I bought it from a fella that only owned it for a year. He bought it from an estate and some restoration work had been started (rebuilt hydromatic and brakes) Engine and tranny are out of the car now. Hoping to talk my 15 year old into working on it with me then he can use it....
  11. Not the best picture, but hard to push her out of the garage with 2 feet of snow in the driveway.... Hope to start the restoration this spring! 1948 Deluxe Coupe
  12. Just ran across this site, lots of great pictures... Picture Australia - Dodge Cars
  13. The previous picture shows the snap with the prongs folded over. They would need to be straightened so that they can go through the carpet and then rolled back over. The following pictures are of the patent that was granted for this snap (based on the patent date embossed on the snap). I'll try to post a picture of the portion of the snap that is screwed into the floor.
  14. Here is a picture of the snap used on my 28 Fast Four to hold the rear carpet in place.
  15. Any interest in a rebuilt hydro-matic out of my 6-cylinder coupe? I bought the car with the engine and tranny removed and I am thinking about going to a different drivetrain. The tranny was professionally rebuilt before I bought the car and never installed. Just fishing around to see if there is interest.
  16. Wow, seems like a lot of work... Here in Washington state all I had to do was take in the plate and the registration for the vehicle and they re-issued it. No big deal and they really didn't care what shape my plate was in....
  17. Would the Canadian built cars have had Canadian built accesories? I have two 1928 fast fours and one has the Northeast starter and Northeast generator built in Canada and the other has the Northeast starter and Northeast generator built in the states. Interesting to note is that in one case the ID tags are brass and in the other case I believe they are aluminum..... Jim
  18. Do you mean a Budd body? My 28 Fast Four has a Budd body, which is also all steel. The only wood that was used was for upholstery and on the floor boards. There is no structural wood. I'm not sure of the year, but I know that all steel bodies were in production before '28. Jim
  19. Does anyone know if these would fit a 48 pontiac? I believe they are from either a 39 or 40. Inside diameter where it attaches to the wheel is about 7-3/4", outside is about 12-1/2" Thanks - Jim
  20. I had a buddy of mine match it to some original paint on the backside of the waterpump. It looks pretty close. Seems like the stuff Romar has is not quite the same shade...
  21. Dang, Now I got one more thing to figure out! HA...
  22. Hey I take exception to that "pukey green" comment. It cost me $50.00 to have that color mixed for my Dodge....
  23. J.C. Taylor is a collector car insurance agency....
  24. Dave - here are a couple of pictures from my engine compartment. I don't have the horn mounted and that thing hanging from the gas line is a circuit breaker I added and need to mount under the dash. Normally the coil would be under the dash and not in the engine compartment (still need to move that). Let me know if you need pictures of anything else. Jim
  25. Dave - Here is a picture of the dash from a 124. The gauges are all correct, but the dash itself would not be chrome plated. On both my 124's the oval dash is painted the same color as the body of the car (and the rest of the dash). The outer ring of the oval dash is not painted. It's interesting to note that brochures at the time indicated that the dash had a "wrinkle finsh", but I have not seen that on any pictures or cars that I have. Also, note that the ammeter and oil pressure gauges are reversed on this dash. Jim
