1. I just called Buick and they quoted me $360 parts and labor with the part in stock, does that sound right.
 2. Thanks I am not that dumb to continuous crank the car for 2/3 minutes.
Sounds like it shouldn't be over 100 bucks so I will take it to the dealer.
I don't have a garage and it is still cold here.
2seater if the TPS has to be changed is this a part any tune-up shop could get within a short period of time?
 3. My '89 is showing error code EO21(throttle position sensor circuit/signal voltage high) and the car is some time hard to crank 2/3 minutes. I wouldn't mine taking the car to the dealer to save time if it not going to cost a arm and a leg.
Does someone have a est. of this repair cost?
The car is idling high also (1000rpm), other than that the car runs fine.
 4. Mike if you use Barney's suggestions let me know also.
There are no parts/kits for sale that I know of.
If you find a vendor there would be a lot of sales. 1-1.5 inches max
Oh, you can get 1/2" by changing to a larger tire/wheel. 225/60 16.
 5. I forgot these also.
http://www.installer.com/wires/index.html

 7. The Jensen CR515X cassette receiver is a DIN and a half size for late model vehicles. Will it fit 1990/91 call Crutchfield 1-800-955-9091.
For the touchscreen the CR515X will fit where the tapeplayer sits. About the only thing that you will be able to use would be in wiring/speaker harness. The 88/89 radio is actually a black box under the console. It's all or nothing. You could add a CD player by FM modulation though your antenna jack.
The touchscreen is one of the great features of the 88/89 I would not recommend changing out the radio. Why don't you add a amp or change the speakers and see if that will make you happy.
 8. Thanks........great site. I searched for that photo for over an hour and a half last night never did find it.
 9. Padgett how did those fog lights work out?
Could you also post another link for the car in the driveway, I'm tired of searching.
Thanks
 10. Wow , Ide Swede what's your car worth today?
I rememeber living in Germany in the mid-eighties and a friend's brother-in-law was selling a Mercedes 600 saloon. I don't recall the year, but it was at least 10 years old probably more. The car was in excellent condition and when he cranked the motor and then placed no stood a nickel on the hood.....boy;that was some car. It was build like a tank. They don't make Mercedes like that anymore.

 16. Sounds great, but what about the high beams.
How long have you been using this product.
I'm in the process of installing a external amp and I don't want any electrical problems. There is nothing special about the amp I am going to install it's not some megawatt monster.
I've heard good things about the PIAA Super White.
 17. FAQ
What Is XENON and HID Lighting?
HID/Xenon lights are a fairly new technology for automobiles. It is much more powerful lighting system than Halogen bulbs. Note that it is a lighting system, which consists of more than just a simple bulb. These system are factory options on cars such as BMW, MERCEDES, AUDI, ACURA , and other high-end luxury cars.

What about those Xenon halogen bulbs?
Bulbs that claim that they are filled with xenon gas, or that they are the closest thing to HID are not. They are just simply HALOGEN bulbs with a bluish coating on them. These bulbs with the bluish coating simply filter all but the blue light out, effectively making the light output very little. Other bulbs, in order to make their bulbs brighter simply up the wattage usage of each bulb, which only puts a much bigger strain on your electrical system and your alternator. These bulbs are not legal, and do not in any way approach the brightness of High Intensity Discharge lights.

What does HID Stand for?
HID stands for High Intensity Discharge. The term xenon is comes from the type of gas that is found inside the bulb .
What does the HID System consist of?
The HID system consists of 3 parts:
2 Xenon bulbs
2 Electronic ballasts
2 Built-in Igniters (they are inside the ballast).

Go to our Products page for more specific information on what is included

What advantages are there with HID compared to Halogen Bulbs?
There are many advantages to HID.
1/3 less power consumption . Xenon lamps are only 35 watts. The ballasts only draw 1.2 amps of power! This puts a much lower strain on the cars electrical system. Frees up more power to power other goodies, such as audio equipment

3 times the light output: No halogen bulb can even come close to the output of a normal HID light. More light output if you do Stage 2
Safety and Visibility. More visibility equals more nighttime safety. Much more powerful than halogen, HID allows you to see farther and brighter during nighttime driving. Plus, HID approximates the temperature of sunlight, so objects appear more real.
 18. Thanks, for the link, but I was down that road with my Lexus. A blue bulb is not the same as HID; one may get the look, but the lighting power. You have to spent serious cash to get a system that performs.
I have tried two different sets of those xenon bulbs and the results were less than satifactory.
http://www.autobarn.net/sylxenhidx6s1.html
 19. Welcome to the club.....order your service manual as soon as possible, check old posts for address $90, new, well written.
www.helminc.com
 20. I feel pretty good about it since it is a Sylania upgrade kit. I will report back.
 21. I am thinking of upgrade my headlights to HID; the autobarn.com has a set for $750.00
Does anyone see problems down the road with electrical issues.
As I get older I don't think I see as well at night. I tried those $15 sealed beam extra or plus with marginal results.
 22. Thanks, I don't know what happened the first time only three items came up.
I wish we has a vendor for key rings and etc.
 23. What do you search under....I didn't find them under Reatta or wheels.
 24. My question is why that gap on the door's, what's the story with that??
The question would be different if the breaks had a artisic flair to them, but they don't.
We are not talked about the 'love bug'here.
