  1. Come on down to the Jackson Outlets just off I-195 in Jackson NJ. Same exit as Great Adventure (Six Flags). The last friday of the month between 1000 and 2000 american made pre-72 vehicles have a section of the lot reserved just for them. Any time between 5ish and 9 PM. I'll be there with my 65 GranSport Vert.
  2. Sent you a PM. I would like to purchase the TA Girdle if you still have it.

    rocker arm

Try NAPA last I heard they had them. Smith Bros makes a high quality adjustable push rod. TA Performance also has pushrods. Rocker Arm Specialists might be able to help out too.
  4. Grew up,in many ways ,in those big cars myself. There are many big car fans here www.V8Buick.com too if you want to post this announcement over there too.
  5. On my '57 Roadmaster the fuse block slides into a U shaped bracket that fits around the back and two sides of the block. The side towards the parking brake has a built in springy thingy to release/hold the fuse block. There is a single arm coming off the U bracket that is connected to the parking brake assembly with a single bolt. This bolt is located just under the parking brake electrical light switch and appears to be used just for holding the fuse block. Hope it makes sense.
  6. Can't it be welded/brazed back together or if bent splice a new section in? I've watched a few of these thrown on the scrap heap but just try and find one when you need one.
  7. Unmolested 425 block with matching rotating assembly.
  8. The headers can be purchased through www.TAPERFORMANCE.com
  9. If you want to brush your engine paint on I have used the Por-15 engine enamel (Buick Green 53-65) and plan on using it again. Sorry not sure if this would be correct for your Riv. www.por15store.com The semi-gloss black is my preference for the engine compartment items. While that engine is out please drop the oil pan and clean it out and check oil screen pick up too. Dynaflow correct color, not a clue. Bill Hirsh (paints) out of Newark, NJ also has paints for our Buicks. Listed in Hemmings. Enjoy! Doug.
  10. I agree they are both 66's and nice cars. If they are just Skylarks 500/ea is really pushing for cars that are probably rotted in all the quarter panels, floors and trunk. If they are GranSports they would be a little more interesting but still would depend on the frame, body and engines condition. It would be ashame to crush them but some folks would rather crush em than take a reasonable offer. Just my .02 cents worth.
  11. Bill I had a gas tankless water heater for around 12 years in my home. They are great "but" they do require maintenance. Read your paperwork carefully and find out where you have to go to get thermocouple, diaphrams etc. My heat exchanger finally sprung a leak and we went back to conventional style.

  18. It's cheaper than buying a 5K fixer upper and dumping another 10K into it to be presentable. Been there done THAT!

    Rides

I enjoyed the first one about the Shelby and the next one about the Mustang very much. Missed last week but ready for this Tues.
  20. Yes Wheel Vintiques Inc. has them offered in the Summit catalog 15" x 7" or 8" for $124.39 and 129.39. But Pat these are with the bolt spacing of 5 on 4.75"! I think you would need 5 on 5" spacing.
  21. Hi All and Happy New Year! I need your help in finding out what style carpet is correct for my '57 Roadmaster 75- 4 door? I believe cut pile is correct but would someone confirm this for me. Question #2 Who would you recommend as a supplier for this carpet. I'm looking for high quality and correct not the cheap price. Thanks as always. Doug
  22. My Skylark is a '65 GS so the diff. cover should be a match. Would your Auburn differential be streetable? I would be looking to run something a lot more highway friendly than those 4:56's. What would be the lowest (?) gear it would run, and how much of course. Thanks, Doug
  23. Which body style are we talking about not all parts are interchangeable. What condition are the parts in.
  24. What is the condition and your price on the TA rear cover?
  25. I love the '53's so I hope someone saves this car from it's surgery. Why does it look like the red pick-up truck has a set of headlights and a grill mounted in the tail gate???
