  1. Contact Tom Telesco he is the one who makes them for others to sell. Email at telriv@yahoo.com or call him at his shop Days (203)324-6045
  2. Brag away Buick Brother. Careful this gas/oil/ grease wrench turning thing is very addictive.
  3. Yes I/we are very interested in your brake swap. Please keep us all posted on you progress. My '57 Roadmaster 75 could probably use some more stopping power too. Doug in NJ
  4. Very interesting history. Looking forward to seeing what others have.
  5. Welcome. The bumper ends are worthless, please advise where I can pick them up. Not buying that story huh? I've seen several sets of rechromed ones fetch 1K. So solid cores or driver class ones are of significant value just a matter of how bad someone needs them. Nice find. Someone was marketing disc brake conversions on ebay for our '57's but don't know much more than that.
  6. Wow is that the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang flying car
  7. I can vouch for the high quality of the product Steele Rubber sells.
  8. The only drawback to a t-shirt is it's cold at Hershey and other events it the AM and the tee would be buried under my jacket. I like the button idea.
  9. Ted at least let her know what range the car should go for as priced by all those expert sites. I would hate to have some smooth talking used car salesman get to it and talk her out of it for a couple hundred bucks. Beautiful car and probably very well taken care off. Now if was just a convertable.
  10. Well your going to have to score one for the "jokers". I've been using Mag Wheel cleaner by Mothers as recomended by one of their reps. Darn stuff takes that cloudy yellow haze off with just a gentle application and I'm left with a brand new looking lens. Once a year cleaning keeps them clear.
  11. .... and 4 hole intakes for the 364s are getting expensive and darn hard to find. You can usually buy the entire motor for the same price. Happy hunting and good luck.
  12. A year or two ago there was a stationwagon show in Princeton, NJ. Were you part of that? I only saw the coverage in the paper but it looked well attended.
  13. What a rare opportunity to compare side by side the sister brands, priceless for all those involved. Beating the prancing horses to the summit worth running her hot to the top. I too find the '57 vert to be soo fine.
  14. Karl on my '65 Lark GS ragtop which is white the underside of the hood is semi-gloss black, inner fenderwells are also semi-gloss black. The sides of the hood should be body color. As for the hinges I think they should also be black but not sure about them and the springs. Doug
  15. Play it on the safe side, good luck.
  16. Dan there will be a CD version available when Alan condenses the 9 hours of video he took. Plus what others are submitting to be added. Daunting task to edit it all.
  17. What's the year and model of your car? There are many different center caps.
  18. Chuck I'm not sure if the hood ornament is the same as the 65 but www.postonbuick.com used to sell them for around $40.00 You may have to call them as it's not been listed in the web catalog. The one's on ebay go for crazy prices! Good Luck, Doug
  19. You might want to post this also on www.V8Buick.com site. Hate to seen it go to scrap.
  20. Seon take a close look at the rear bumper ends, where the exhaust exits. Make sure they have not rotted out or are paper thin. They appear to be chrome but are made of gold when you try and replace them. I can't really think of any other parts that are as difficult to get. Happy Hunting.
  21. It was in our local paper too. Very nice car and article.
  22. I saw a gentleman cleaning his Dusenburg's chrome with a spray bottle with blue liquid in it. When I asked what was his secret formula his reply was " Windex"
  23. Kudos to Texsky for donating rather than crushing.
  24. Very hard to estimate how many vehicles are there. They have a public address system set up and usually tell how many vehicles have entered. When it's a holiday weekend that coincides with the last Friday with nice weather the car count goes above 2000 easy. This takes up maybe 1/3 of the lot then you have the vehicles that aren't American made or pre-72 on the perimeter. Today should be a big turn-out. Hope to see some of you there. Doug
