  1. If you wind up needing it, I’ve got a good pressure plate from a 1934 series 60. You can call me at (540) 493-8756 if you like.
  2. Originally the compression ratio was only about 4.5:1 or 5:1. You may not have low compression at all.
  3. I can rebuild it, but I am in Virginia. The last Buick engine I shipped to California cost over $2000 UPS freight. The weight was 950 pounds dry with crate. Fastenal would undoubtedly be cheaper. I don’t know how much, though. I would recommend pulling the head yourself and magna-fluxing it. They are prone to crack into the combustion chamber. They can usually be fixed, but that adds a good day’s labor to the job. Check and see what you have. I am glad to help what I can.
  4. Casting number is 1280444, for a 60 series.
  5. I am fairly sure this was a 60 series, as it had the single disc clutch. I wish I could remember or that I had paid closer attention. I remember it was a limousine, had the short motor, but as it was a conversion to a 350 Chevrolet with automatic transmission, I was more focused on what was being created than what was being destroyed. I’ll check casting numbers tomorrow and post.
  6. Yes. Call me at (540) 493-8756 or e-mail rmullen28@hotmail.com.
  7. I have a 1934 transmission complete. You can call me at (540) 493-8756, e-mail at rmullen28@hotmail.com, or reply here.
  8. If you can use it, I have a complete drive train from transmission, torque tube, drive line, differential, axle housing: everything from clutch pressure plate to rear brakes, from a 1934 series 60. You can call me at (540) 493-8756. Leave a message if you miss me. I also have the clutch and brake pedals, other miscellaneous parts.
  9. I have a complete clutch out of a 1934. Call me at (540) 493-8756 if you like.
  10. I’ll try to get photos and measure. I converted the car for someone else, and can’t get pictures of the car itself. It may take a week or so.
  11. Might as well ad brake adjustment to the schedule, also, as you need all four wheels off the ground for that.
  12. The engine has been sold a few years ago. I only have the transmission back to the brake drums.
  13. Transmission, including clutch, torque tube, differential, complete from clutch to brake drums. I’ve had these for some years, I don’t remember what series, though I do remember that it was from a limousine. The car was running when these were replaced (with a 350, what else!). Transmission has been in the corner of heated garage, rest has been in a shed. I am willing to crate and ship. There is a Fastenal nearby, also a UPS freight. I can be reached at 540-493-8756. I also have a few miscellaneous items, such as the pedal assemblies, fuel pump, fan and hub, not much else. Located in Roanoke, Virginia.

  15. I have a 1934 transmission and rear end, if that helps.
  16. 1938 engine is sold. 1934 engine, transmission, and rear end are still available. both engines sold; still have running gear
  17. 1934 engine number is 2892580. Length of valve cover is 31.5". 1938 engine is 43297301.
  18. I am unloading the truck today. I will part out if you only need a head, crank, cam, rod: whatever. I will have them magna-fluxed so you know there aren't any cracks or concerns, mic journals, etc. I hope we have good transactions. Thank you for posting those pictures. I'll get numbers in the next day or so.
  19. ramair, I did not get your call. Please try again, and leave message if I don't answer. I stay busy and have too frequently replaced my phone when it fell out of my pocket or got crushed because I didn't think about it in time. I also have a phone at the bottom of the lake, so I have finally learned to just not carry it. My glasses, on the other hand..... DE SOTO: where would that casting number be?
  20. I do not own the car. I bought the engine and drivetrain from the guy who owns the car. He had already pulled the drivetrain. I have never seen the car. He had already taken the car to North Carolina to have the swap done. I can only go by what he told me. I wish anyone who has any real interest would call and talk about it. I’ll be straight, no confusion, simple steps to help someone get an engine if they need it. 720-556-6147 for any serious person.
  21. I'm not sure how to get a picture on here from my phone. I actually joined just this morning with idea of selling these engines. If you email me or send me a number I can send photos from my phone. Also, I prefer to talk. 720-556-6147. Leave a message if you call. I don't carry the phone all the time. I'm not that great at new technology. The '38 is a 248 ci.
  22. Sorry, I don't. I bought these from a guy who was taking a perfectly good 1934 Limousine and putting a 350 Chevy motor in it. I thought about building a speedster out of it, but I was in a car wreck and won't be able to do it for some time, if ever. Probably best to sell. The engine runs.
  23. I have a 1934 Buick engine from a limousine, including transmission and rear end. Call me at 720-556-6147 if you are interested. I am in Roanoke, Virginia. I can deliver within a reasonable distance for a reasonable amount.
  24. Where are you located? I have a complete 1934 engine, running when removed from the car, along with a 1938 engine. The '34 also has the transmission and complete rear end. You can call me at 720-556-6147. I am in Roanoke, Virginia.
