As promised
firstly I may add he took over 100 photos and some are very artistic , he has promised me some , which I shall post on relevant post
However , as I was a bystander mine are not posed and often some distance away , mostly for modesty’s sake ! As the some wouldn’t be allowed and dont want to reprimanded again .

Drove the blue car (Suzybelle) to the Caladium Festival in Lake Placid, FL today. Desperate to go somewhere with my old cars here in "Hot Rod Land". She was one of three cars out of over 100 with the original engine, or type of engine. Ten years ago this show had not been taken over by hotrods and late model Corvettes and Mustangs. Anyway she won a first against a 47 Ford that had hopped up flathead in it....at least it was a flathead...so I guess that mad 4 cars. The other two were a very nice 1955 Chevrolet Belair and a 1964 Ford convertible with a factory 390 in it.
The main thing is that it was not too hot this morning and the old '39 straight 8 got up to 70+ while I was day dreaming about something....maybe that 41 Buick Limited...ha. Coming back it was hotter than three shades of Hadees and I had no vapor lock because I had paid $3.79 a gallon for real gas at the only station for many miles around that has it. The temperatue gauge was reasonable too, as I held it down to 55, but I did get caught at one long winded light and the temp went up past 3/4....maybe 200-205 that quick. But when we got going again I drove about 50 and she came back down to 185-190....no pressure cap on a '39....and God was riding in the passenger seat I think because I hit all the lights green the rest of the way. Then the daily thunder storm hit just before I got home and the temp went down to about 175 and I got caught at the last light. All in all Suzybelle didn't miss a beat, and hasn't since I went back to points & condenser. She just would not run on that electronic ignition kit when the engine warmed up good. I threw it, box and all into the trash the other day. One wiper blade was stuck but worked fine when I got home in the garage and got out and unstuck it. Dang, I hated to wipe the car down before coming into the A/C though. ?
Like name ,Suzybelle , pretty car suits it

That looks like a British reg plate

Being a Buick owner I’ve found bobs automobilia excellent , but must admit can’t fault eBay when I’m sourcing parts for British classics, however for rarer items rimmer brothers and AH spares are great.

Beutiful collection , poor owner selling collection must only contribute to bad situation
wish him or her well.

My 53 special didn’t sit level and once up on ramp we noticed rear LH side frame /body mounts were shot , by supporting body independently they were easily replaced

Sir John,
Just curious , what was your opinion of the yellow one offered for sale , I thought it looked pretty good and reasonable price for a road master.

Apologies if this subject has been on forum before , I haven’t seen it.
while looking at European eBay sites at American classics and particularly Buick’s , on the Italian site a tee shirt was for sale with a Buick wildcat image . I thought wow that’s a nice , how come I ve never heard of it , heard of later wildcats , but never 54, so I googled it , sure enough 2 exist , one in a museum and the other a replica . Which I looked up interesting story of how it came to be , looks amazing.
beutiful styling , bit corvette, but I love corvettes , shame Buick didn’t put into production , would be sort after now.
cheers

Our chapter's 10th annual cruise in was a pleasing success, and the 56 was the poster child ( and T shirt captain) this year.
Of course, no good deed goes unpunished. Friday I worked some fingerprints out of the trunk with some Meguliar's cleaner /polish. But then that patch made the rest of the trunk lid look bad. So I wound up spreading out the polish and eventually did the whole lower body. I keep forgetting how much paint surface there is. Then Saturday before the event I did the roof. I thought it was looking rather spiffy!
Then, at the event the poster child car parks right up in front of the Pavillion at the park. When I got back in the car to leave at first I thought it had rained, then realized the tree had dropped sap all over the damn thing. Since the event was a PM cruise in I didn't get home till 10 PM and then I had to break out the wash bucket and clean her up again, before the sap had a chance to set up. But it looked pretty good again today, and drove so nice as well, so I think I'll keep it a while longer.
With you John on a couple of issues . When you have a pretty car common problem , greasy finger prints always on front wings and doors as folks stand alongside for must have photo, have pepper trees here in Cyprus overhanging my drive , so sap a regular problem to, so always cleaning . Worst problem for me was the seams on my car cover left fine scratches in gloss finish , till I realised what they where , now place cover inside out , doesn’t look so good, seems to work. ?
keep up the good work .
cheers

Assuming it is a presentable car 150k feels too low for a running driving V16 with a semi-attractive body.
For comparison, check this out:
http://www.tomlaferriere.com/listings/1930-cadillac-452-v-16-imperial-sedan
Tom is usually not too far off on prices.
Thanks for that , I feel my guess wasn’t to bad because the body shape and trim to my taste on the car here looks better and to me make it appear worth more.

Depending on condition, that car will sell for anywhere from 175k to 275k. We need Matt or Tom to pipe in with real numbers but I think I'm close.
Thanks , appreciated , that will do for me as I said 250k ?
, but won’t gloat as their 150 k might not be far off on a bad day

While visiting the first Istanbul classic Car show with club friends , I saw beutiful all original 1930 V16 Cadillac , one of only eight still around so lm informed . Not an expert but told its concours , certainly looks amazing
my colleagues and I have differing views on value as I seen a couple other examples a few years back when market was better based my guess on that , but my friends say I’m to high so an informed ballpark figure would be appreciated
cheers
