  1. Attended North Cyprus concours event , where Ruby won best in show two years ago , so wasn’t expecting anything

thought may win best American until a $100k restomod mustang turned up!. However won second best in show , very pleased as some great cars in attendance. Show winner Jaguar XK 150S rare one apparently only 9 the same left , amazing condition, met the owner nice guy , told me he’s had the car 38 years and when he purchased it , he had a difficult decision with the jag and an Aston Martin DB5 for similar money !

A week ago on my Honeymoon in Victoria B.C.   At the Craigdarroch Castle built in the 1890 best the wealthiest person on the west coast of Canada.

Great house to tour, the inside is just amazing. Oh the car, 1953 Super convertible Matador Red. My parents took this trip in 1953 with the same car on their honeymoon.

Great car , biased as Ruby’s twin , how do tell a super from a special at a glance  is it the rear extra side trim  I know super is bigger , but that’s not obvious unless side by side.

  3. Good on you CC you did your best ,  and respect you for your well intentioned endeavours. Unfortunately  over Bryan’s budget , thought that may happen as convertibles of that era have risen in value considerably recently and not  surprised by asking price. Furthermore it’s very  difficult  to bring two parties together on a deal without some guidelines from both parties. That’s why I posted above requesting more information.as the WTB description of a ‘driver condition car able to improve later ‘ when looking at those late 40s convertibles, they  command  good money as shown.

Well, I am certain I fall under the 20 point rule,  so here goes nothing.   I am a 46 year old who is smitten with anything Buick it would seem.   Dad always had a LeSabre and I have always been drawn to the Buicks of pretty much every age.  Currently I have a mostly restored 57 Estate Wagon that is sporting pink paint and it's .30 over 364 with fuel injection.   (FiTech)  Just a great car.  This weekend I am bringing home a 1947 Model 56-C Super convertible.  A bucket list car for me.  Super excited to bring it back to life and make it my own.

Waiting to see pics of the 47 , on my bucket list to.

Sunday I drove the ole girl to a show at the Moffat Estate.  Benefiting the William Kramer Scholarship foundation.  Had a good time.  All the kids really liked the car. She won her first trophy!  The kids choice award.  I usually don’t register when I go to events.  Also won a free alignment.
