  1. I worked on my FEDCO plate today. Dash had been epoxy primed so I used Q-tips and Acetone to remove the primer. This is with about 3/4 removed from left to right Here it is with it all off I then used a chrome paint stick
  2. Mike, There was a bow. No more. The beam is secured on both sides of the beam
  3. We built our house 6 years ago and I wanted a beam in the garage to aid with pulling engines etc. I was advised that that wasn't going to happen. Well, when the house was originally designed there was a 10 foot opening between garages and the joists were made to support that. Then I decided to open it to 12 feet and the engineer missed the change, so I have cracks forming 1 foot in on the header on both sides. The obvious fix was to put in a steel beam and support posts. So now all I need is a motorized hoist. No objection this time as the problem is fixed.
  4. I have had a few 12's (not Cadillac) and If you think about it, there are 4 power impulses/revolution on an 8 and 6 on a 12. The power output is smoother and continuous. Reminds me of an airplane.
  5. Does anyone know of a way to test this current relay out of my '29 Model 72?
  6. RI Wiring doesn't list those cables for Model 75's
  7. Does anyone have the Delco-Remy part number for the starter switch for a late 1929 Model 75. Early one have the switch on the bellhousing and the late is on the starter. Thanks in advance
  8. Brillman has the original Chrysler engineering specs for those cables, including the armored portion and they are quick. Ask for John. My 75 cable will be here next week. I will post a report.
  9. This reservoir was on my Chrysler when I got it. The bracket is no where close. Can anyone identify it?
  10. With Grimy and Jay's help here is the correct belt Here it is on the car And with the fan
  11. Moral and Dfeeney, Thanks for your help.
  12. Put a quart of oil in the oil pressure/filter port and similar down the distributor opening. Set the points, generator is back to original configuration and is in, distributor is wired, carb is on and hooked up to the aux fuel pump so I am just about ready to start it. Waiting on fan belt but I can still start it without one. Wish me luck.
  13. This one has a chip on the right side but isn't visible when installed. Came out of a Commercial light. Does this work?
  14. Grimy, George, I snagged one off ebate. Thanks again Bill
  15. Moak, Both my 72 and 75 have chain driven generators. Not sure when they changed or what models were belt driven.
  16. George, looks like a 614. Thanks.
  17. J-Rod, If it is like my 75 there are 2 adjusting cams that are eccentric. Turning them moves the shoes either in or out relative to the drum. It is hard to see in the picture but they are numbers 2 and 4. Of course if yours isn't like this then I don't know anything new to tell you. Good luck
  18. Thanks Leo, Where did you find it? Bill
  19. I needed a starter cable for my 75. I called the Brillman Company in VA and talked to John. He has the Chrysler issued factory specifications that list all the details on the early Chrysler's cables. He had the gauge, the length of the cable, the length of the armor on it and the serial number break for the change in starter configuration. I was blown away.
  20. Does anyone have the size or number of the fan belt for a Chrysler Model 75? Thanks Bill
