That is some pure talent, i love the progress pics -
Yeah 29-30 are the same straight 6 the 31-32 straight 8s are the same .. I’ll have to check to see if the oil cap is the same from a 1936 for my 32
-
Yeah, hoping for the the best results . Thank you that solves that . I was just thinking it was a 33 because someone took a lot of time to paint it green . I was surprised I originally thought the motor was green . too bad I can’t find a wizard control setup
-
Wow , that’s pretty nice setup !! With the modern filter , I’m still trying to find a replacement filter for my oil canister.

Since it’s the winter , might as well start a small job on my days off . I thought it was going to be a simple exhaust manifold gasket change , turns out to be more than that. I noticed a few small cracks on the engine manifold . So I took it to get a minor soda blast to get some of the paint off it . I was able to find a guy who has been welding cast iron since then1970s. He assured me he will fix the problem, since hes seen and fixed worse. Soo now im going to paint the engine.. Spent 6 hours clesning cleaning.. The exhaust side was the worst, the other will be a lot easier to clean. My plan is to do a tour with the car this summer . Still got more cleaning scrubbing brushing and wiping to go . -Simple green -por15 cleaner and degreaser -shark steamer to make it easier to clean. Paint -Bill hirsch black paint. The engine was painted green which isn’t correct should check the serial # to the engine to see if it’s a 1932 or 1933 motor .

After installing the new rebuilt carburetor, all I can say is this car is a joy to drive now, before it used to be a chore to drive it. Now I just need to replace the exhaust manifold gasket , is there a trick to doing that?? I also gotta put back the stock fuel pump and push rod. The car doesn’t have one, for some reason they bypassed it after speaking with the owner before he said when he bought it never had it either

If you’ll sell the pipe that goes from heat riser to exhaust I’ll take it as well as if you have the fuel line that has a swirl I’ll take that also ? I’ll just buy those for recreation purposes

Thank you for everyone help, I have 2 optima’s 6volt batteries ready for my 32 Buick 97 series . Since the battery in there was shot and leaky . The battery box there already in the car , we are going to re fabricate it since it has some damage from the years of battery acid.
-
I saw someone where on here but not sure of some Packard or Cadillac running 2 optima 6 volt batteries but they are ran in away that it’s only really one . Im wanting to do that on one of my cars and see if the voltage stays flat. My 38 Buick the voltage drops basically really low if have the headlights on and other accessories. We swapped out the voltage regulator it got better but . The mechanic recommended we ditch the battery and go with a optima 6 volt

Or even the brake drums if they are the same for 90series
-
Sell the exhaust manifold ?
-
Was this from the Mac Blair collection . You wouldn’t happen to sell the manifold right , the wheels don’t have the trim rings right ?
