  1. The 1941-45 W series parts book is sold! Terry
  2. There will always be those who will have perfect cars at shows. When you say I'm not going to any more shows because of them you are missing out on great opportunities to show your car to others who would like to see what you have and know more about it. Not everyone wants to see show only level cars at car shows. Terry
  3. Absolutely! They are great to see and usually have a great story to go with them. I wish more people would bring their less than perfect cars to shows so that we can see them and talk with the owners. All my antiques were unrestored originals that generated lots of good stories at shows. Most people remember how they looked after they were driven not as the restored versions seen at shows. Terry

  6. Hello JP, I sent you a personal message with the details. Terry
  7. You could hook up one light to your voltage source and put a DC ammeter in series with it to see the amount of current draw it has. Multiply by 4 to get the system draw. That should at least give you an idea on the minimum value the fuse has to be. Terry
  8. I have an auto parts supply company catalog from 1922 that shows the following auto manufacturers used Falls engines: Colonial 1917, Elgin 1916-22, Grant 1917-20, Halladay 1918-19, Hollier 1917-18, Kelsey 1921-22, Malbohm 1917-22, Premocar 1921-22, Velle 1920-22 and Washington 1920-22. This book also says there are two Falls 6 Models, a new and old version. Only extra information is the old has a dimension of 1 7/8, nothing listed for the new. Terry
  9. The 1975 models were only available in black and had a gold stripe. Price was about $1000 less than the Corvette in 1975. I remember seeing them at the dealers when they were introduced. Only thing they had in common with the standard Vega is the name and body shape. Thanks for the picture and info. Terry
  10. Selling an original illustrated 1951-56 Pontiac dealer parts requisition catalog for the Hydramatic transmission. Measures 8" x 11" with 15 pages of transmission parts in exploded view format with the associated year of use and factory part number for the part. The catalog is very clean with no tears or rips. Has dealer stamp on the cover for Hartman Pontiac in Lancaster PA. Asking $6 plus $3 shipping in USA. Send a PM if interested. Thanks, Terry Boyer Lititz PA 17543
  11. What type of vehicle do you need them for? That too would help with the search process. Have you tried Rock Auto online lookup? Terry
  12. These items are still available. Send me a PM if interested. Thanks, Terry
  13. Must be in the Southern Hemisphere as your photos are upside down when viewed in the USA. Terry
  14. I'm using an iPad, second generation on WiFi with no other apps. All is good except trying to load a picture from it.
  15. I think you are in the right time era, maybe even up to 1929. Some id numbers if you can find them on the engine or frame would help. I'm surprised some of the keen eyed experts have not voiced an opinion. To me, the radiator badge does not look correct. It is more like a body ID tag. Neat truck! Terry
  16. In the good old days Hemmings Motor News was your friend for that type of information. Today the Internet gives you a lot more options for researching. A car club dedicated to the brand of vehicle you have can be of great assistance too.
  17. Was it a Pullman made in York PA? Terry
  18. I have early auto trade magazine from 1910 that contains more tire repair ads than you can imagine. One of the most expensive wear out items of that time were tires. One of the discussion items in the magazine was the decrease in the price of tires and how good that would be for the auto industry.
  19. I think he is trying to describe a body tag like you would find on an early car. It has the car brand name on it , model number, country of manufacture, and so forth. Some are very ornate and look great framed. Terry
  20. Rusty, in the Victor gaskets section of this book there is a Rutenber rathther than Rutenberg listed so the berg ending must be a typo. The Rutenber is shown as used in Paige, American, Auburn (1917), Bush, Crow Elkhart,Columbia, Geronimo, Glide, Jeffery, Madison, Marion-Handley, Metz, Moore, Nash, Pan-American and Sawyer passenger cars. Like you said there were dozens of assembled brands. For trucks it's even more crazy than passenger cars. Parts dealers of the time must have been kept busy trying to keep up with all the brand that came and disappeared. And to think they did it all without the benefit of a computer! Terry
  21. Wayne, not in this book but I have some from the mid-1920's I will check.
  22. Recently found an auto parts catalog in my stash of odd ball stuff from Gaul, Derr & Shearer Co in Phila dated June 1922. In it lists popular auto motors of the day that were used by many auto companies of the time, some of which I have never heard of before. The list includes Beaver, Buda, Climax, Continental, Falls, Golden Belknap Schwartz, Grey, Hinkley, Herschel - Spillman, Le Roi, Lycoming, Northway, Rochester Duesenburg, R & V MA, Rutenburg, Sterling, Teetor Harley (or Hartley), Waukesha and Weidely. Wow what a group! This is in addition to Dodge, Olds, Chevy and all the more popular of the time. The G B Schwartz was used in a 1918 Bell 4 cyl and the Teetor Hartley was used in the McFarlan six from 1917-20 and the Le Roi was used in the Birch 30 in 1920-21. An extensive list of autos, trucks and tractors using the above group of motors is shown in the catalog. If you are curious about what motor was used in your 1921 Texan or 1917 Ghent 6-40, shoot me a PM and I'll look it up for you! Terry B
  23. REO logo has similar wings but has REO in the center of them. Maybe a trucking company logo? Terry B
