I just joined this forum, I haven’t even introduce myself yet in the new members section, But I just bought my son a 1953 Dodge pilot house pick up and I was wondering if these water distribution tubes are still available?

Do you have the 23 in or 25 in engine?  I have the 23in tubes.

I've actually used this '38 as a template for some of my restoration...they put this one together the closest to factory.

Not so sure about the turn signal and heater, but it had dual wipers, dual spare tires, with covers.

I would be in heaven If I could fine that headlight knob with the the hi-beam indicator in red....

I have never seen the vin tag below the oval. Also never seen the oval tag not having the LR. Beautiful truck. Looks like Vic's and Alex work and differently yours.

  4. I have come across with a lot of parts being different for 38.

    Example,

Part 758697 up to LR 1450

    Part 759000 after LR 1450.

What was changed on the 38s?

Above numbers are not accurate. Just using as an example.

What I'm seeing that is different during the 38 model year.

    Door parts

    Frame parts

    Interior parts.

    Another mystery,

    what is a MC-RC sedan?

I looked for a long time for an axel puller, couldn't find one. I modified an slide hammer and gently pulled it out.

I put the axle nut back on with a large washer and used a finger type end with a slide hammer. Take the backing plate off and put an old drum on and hit the drum with a hammer.

  6. Chris' monster speedster rolled out after a long Montana winter. Powered by a 1100# 413" Chrysler Industrial six on a massive 133" wheelbase Studebaker President chassis, '33 DeSoto radiator shell, 7.50-20 tires (36.9" dia.), homemade body, and parts picked off the ranch. These rare MONSTER truck sixes produced 205 ft/lbs at 1600 RPM. Hopefully, he'll be driving it down to Bonneville this year. It's bigger than a full-size pickup, so it'll be easy to spot. #MoparMontana #MontanaDodgeBoys

My front shocks seam to work fine, however they leak oil. Does anyone know where i can send them to be rebuilt? 1937 1.5 ton ME-31

I was told by a customer that these don't need rebuilding. Only the shaft seal goes bad. Replace that and your good to go.
