ran it for 30 seconds or so still 25 psi and now the pressure is dropping and won't start at all. Glad it happened in the garage and not out on the road. How hard is it to put a fuel pump in? I have 1/2 tank in the car. Thanks

This morning would not start, got pressure gage, reading 25 psi in run. I am going to go through the test procedure in chart A7. I did pull the plugs they are dry. I will leave the gage hooked up for a few hrs to see if it leaks down.

OK got on my hands and knees and had wife crank it, pump ran for second+. I am going to Advanced auto to rent a pressure gage tomorrow.

I disconnected the fuel line at the regulator and got a shot of gas into a plastic liter bottle when I cranked it over.

I tried your suggestion, the pressure regulator checked out OK. we'll see tomorrow. Thanks

I think I found the problem, after checking the fuse and relay (replaced both) and letting it sit overnight I noticed the schrader valve was bubbling small air/fuel bubbles. I replaced the valve after sitting 5 hrs it starts on first crank. Thanks for the help!!

Isn't that what the pressure regulator supposed to do?

Well turning the key three times did not work, I can hear the pump run. I bleed the fuel pressure regulator and got air and then fuel. Could this be the check valve leaking back at the pump?

I have an 89, after sitting for an extended time it takes 3 to 4 turns cranking to start than runs fine, no codes. Is this a fuel pump going bad or the crank sensor? It's had new plugs, wires, fuel filter, and 02 sensor. Where do I start, it seems to be getting worse and I have a feeling it will leave me stranded somewhere. Thanks for your help.

That is your vacuum distribution goes to trans, cruise, ac/heater vents. Real easy to brake the left front one has the metal tube going right into the plastic.

Take a look at this Ebay auction 200576246712. He makes these himself, if anybody is near him in Florida they might check him out. I asked if he could make them said yes if there is enough interest.

Well after the problem with the head gasket the car was flooded up to the doors, filled the floor pan ruined the carpeting. The seats (not 16 way) are OK. The door panels are like a sponge on the back side. Trunk stayed dry. Pulled out the carpeting so it won't stink. Selling parts cheap it has to go. The windshield and hood are gone. Please let me know what you need. Car only had 107k on it. That litle creek to the left of the first photo became a raging river. Thanks

Hello All, I have a problem with 90 reatta, while sitting over night water leaks into one of the cylinders, car starts smokes white, can smell sweat antifreeze in the exhaust, misses for about one minute clears up runs fine. There is no water in the oil. The car does not over heat. There are no bubbles in the radiator or the over flow once it is up to temp. My question is is it possible that it is leaking threw the throttle body or the intake gaskets? Or is it blown head gasket? It only seams to leak in wile the engine is off. Thanks for your help
