  3. I have two sets of almost new abs sensors for the front. These have become obsolete. They came of of wrecked cars in the early 90's I would like $300 a set delivered. I also have a set of new front springs that will lower the front. I had these so long I do not remember how much but they are new and are plastic coated to prevent rust they are $200 a set plus postage. Pay-pal 3% additional. Email at oregem@ aol.com or pm me Thanks
  4. It could be if you are driving and trying to find a station but my main reasoning is for the back-up camera , hands free calling. I play the ipod most of the time. The android features are also useful for listening to internet stations.
  5. Basically a dremal , shaved out the metal thinned the foam and fabricated a stiff strap from the shifter tunnel to hold the unit up, cut pu a spare face plate and glued it in place. All took about an hour with repeated measurements.
  6. I think $150.00 is fair, these would be great in a garage or at a show.
  7. Do not know if anybody has tried this but here is my shot at it. I know the purists will cringe but it is time to up date. Every thing is reversible with a few spare parts. Also added back-up camera.
  8. Complete set of 8 they used to be in a dealership on a tall carousel as pictured. Make offer highest bid by Sunday gets them. Plus postage and pay-pal if you chose contact @ oregem@aol.com

  10. If you have a pin-out box for the abs computer in the trunk you can check the system, if not may I suggest trying another computer.
  11. If you are going to sand it be sure to wear a real good mask, that stuff is atrocious.
  12. Yes I had to shave down the rear of the faceplate to make the plexi lay flat and to fit close so it would not have a gap.
  13. On my other 89 I put the radio under the arm rest and kept the original. How did you install the cup holder? I think padgett was working on a infotainment center that could fit into the spot. I would like the new alpine INE-W957HD, it is 7" screen and woud fit but it is a little pricey. I also like Daniels install a lot. I like alpine because it has rear everything so my ipod is hidden.
  14. Mine is an 89 and does not have very much depth. I think 90 has a blank box that makes it easier and roomier to fit. 89 has the cassette deck where cd deck is in the 90.
  15. I finally got tired of the ancient cassette deck so it is time to change it out. All that is needed is a dremel tool and tape measure. Measure the height of the back half of the radio, mark it off on the inside of the bracket, cut out with dremel, cut the back side off bracket to fit, cut face plate, I cut plexiglass to make up blank spaces, extend wiring harness and install. Best part is you can return the cassette player with a replacement face plate. The cut out slot holds the radio with no movement.
  16. Harry, the best way to remove them is to call a really good glass co that has a sonic heat gun (1300.00) will make a clean extraction cost is 75 to 100$.
  17. If your cat was clogged I would also clean out the egr it is probable carboned up and replace oxy sensor. I do not know your milage but if the hose blows of either the hose is swollen or you are getting blowby from the rings, might want to check compression if the latter is the case.
  18. The green mold on the silver one is incredible wonder if the inside is totally rotten?
  19. This car has a long history, was found after Katrina, flooded, has been offered for close to two yrs now. There are long threads on this car.
  20. To remove the door sill molding remove the back half first by pulling up and towards the door center (as when closed) under that piece you will find a phillips screw. rock the long molding gentle back and forth than pull up and towards the center. It is held in by clips that fit into retainers, if either comes loose they can be pushed back in place.
  21. Here is my head unit in the arm rest. I think the location for the amp is the best possible especially if your carpet gets wet. I mostly use the Ipod. I put it in place of the ash tray.
