  1. What ever it was, someone came today and purchased it. Thanks for all the interest.
  2. I meant that getting them to release from the charger or tools are more difficult than the name brand batteries. The ones I got don’t have as good release mechanisms.
  3. I have Ryobi tools and their batteries aren’t cheap either. I bought several replacement batteries off eBay and Amazon. They work fine but getting them to rel are from the charger or tools is much more difficult then OEM batteries. Other then that, I found them fine.
  4. I have a ‘37 LaSalle tranny that I keep mashing my toe on when walking through my shop. No sure how I ended up with it but let me know if you can use it. Offers accepted! Wayne yachtflame@yahoo.com
  5. I have a bunch of ‘32-32 Cadillac parts that I keep tripping over. If anyone is interested in any part shown, let me know or make me an offer on all. Wayne yachtflame@yahoo.com
  6. The owner is really looking to move it. Make him an offer and see what’s he says. The worst he could say is “He’ll No!” But I doubt it.
  7. Jose, I may have that distributor. I’ll try and take a look today. If I don’t get back to you, it means I got sidetracked. Seems I have the memory of a gnat these days! You can email me at yachtflame@yahoo.com
  8. There is a 1936 LaSalle hearse for sale in Pelham, MA. The previous owner did a bunch of modifications on it. Chopped the top, put “spider webs” over fender openings and other things to “improve it”. The current owner was going to restore it but has too many other projects and time is catching up on all of us! He paid $19,000 when he bought it years ago but is looking for offers. If interested, contact Denis Kitchen at denis@deniskitchen.com
  9. Seems you got all the snow. We gave up skiing on March 1st this year. I hate skiing on grass!
  10. I get about 8 mpg on my ‘30 LaSalle sedan. Had it up to 11 but knowledgeable member here told me I was leaning the engine out too much and was gonna regret it, so I’m back to 8.
  11. He had a ‘56 Jaguar XK140 MC drophead. I really would prefer the roadster.
  12. I got scared off by the group here and dropped that one. Today I was going through emails that my wife opened but forgot to tell me. The seller had sent me two emails to see if I was still interested and another two days later saying it was sold. If it was a scam, why email me unless he’s running a “long scam”. But it was a drop head instead of roadster anyway and I’d prefer a roadster. I have another in mind but the owner is old (older than me) and cantankerous. He won’t give a price but wants me to make an offer. I give him one and he says “we’re close” but won’t say how close! I could offer $15k or $50k and he’ll say “we’re getting close”. Guess I’ll make an offer at the auction his wife will arrange after he’s gone. The guy has 64 cars and wants to sell a bunch but every price on every car is “we’re close”.
  13. Hello, Wayne I Amherst MA here. I have a gear box that is about that period. I’m away from home till the middle of next week but if you’re still looking, email me at yachtflame@yahoo.com and I’ll send you photos. wayne Wlsworth
  14. A bear, I agree with your post. The owner is available to talk but through a satellite phone. I’ve done enough transatlantic deliveries that I understand the concept. Several passages have taken me that far north in order to avoid storms so I’m not overly concerned about that. I have friends on that coast so if the car can’t be seen or isn’t real, I’ll just go visiting.
  15. Well, I originally posted a week ago. Funny how much can change in a week!
  16. Guys, this isn’t my first rodeo. I’ve bought and sold many cars and have yet to be scammed. I haven’t given any form of deposit to hold the car. I figure if it were meant to be, it will happen. If the car is still available when I get home, I’ll fly out and take a look. If it’s not what I want, I’ll spend a couple days visiting friends on the “wrong coast”. I was just asking if anyone here has ever dealt with this outfit before. Kind of an easy question I thought. I do appreciate all of you trying to protect me and you have all made very good suggestions. Just so you know, I’m not in the habit of buying anything much less a car in a mail order situation.
  17. Again, I thank you all. I have scheduled an inspection for the 10th of April at their location in Spokane. If it’s a ruse, I’m only out $520 plus a night in a hotel. Cheap insurance for the value of the car I’m looking at. We’ll see how it goes. This is the second time I’ve done this innEA, last time in Tacoma and I love that car!
  18. I thank you all for your input. I was actually asking if anyone here has had any dealings with this company but so far it appears no one has. The company has contacted me and are making the vehicle available for my inspection when I return to the states. It would still be nice if DGPoff were able to go and get a feel for the outfit. I can’t imagine it being a totally bogus company if they are willing to schedule an on site inspection from me. Again, thank you all for your input. Wayne
  19. DGPoff, Anything you are able to do would be a great help. I’ve emailed extensively with the cars owner and he says he works on an oil rig offshore so he gave the car to this company to handle its sale. Reading the info on their web site has good and bad aspects. One of their personnel did call me and had more info but as I’m touresting in Vietnam, calls drop constantly plus add in a 13 hour time difference and things get complicated! If you’re able to see or even talk to any of their staff, I’d like to hear your take on this. Thanks in advance for any help. I’d gladly pay you for your time. wayne
  20. Crusty, I don’t know why you’ve had a problem connecting to the link I posted. I just tried the link that I posted and then tried the one that you copied and both went to the company’s web site with all of their information. I’ll try Google maps next to see what the address looks like.
  21. Well, that’s not too encouraging! I really prefer flying to the vehicles location, inspecting it then paying cash if I like it. I hate intermediaries!
  22. This is the link I was given by a seller. https://dvsautotrans.com/ 3808 N Sullivan Rd Spokane, WA 99216 They have a lot of written information with lots of rules and requirements. They did call me back at 6:25 pm their time last night (or 8:25 this morning at my current location time). Unfortunately, the call dropped and they tried to call back twice but it kept dropping the call. I’m just wondering if anyone knows of them.
  23. Well, I am in Vietnam at the moment with a 14 hr time difference. It’s a bit hard to call them in their mid day when I’ll be waking my wife up in the middle of the night.
