Hi Jo im sorta in the middle of puting my 56 T-Bird turn signals in my 47 and im trying to use the ome metter to find out what gos where and im taking a rest from it as at one point i had my front head lights as blinkers HA HA.To tired not to laughf an cry. Mike:confused::confused:

Looks like it has back up lights. Im going to work on thoes some day on my 47.Mike. its sweeeeet buff it out and run with it.

the yellow wire gos to the hot wire the black one go to the flasher and the port that has a (P) on it is left empty. to the left you have 4 hook ups. top down .red coil top... black/yellow fuel pump#2....red/black ign sw AND yellow flasher....Bottom red/yellow coil. I hope this helps you.Mike

The way i did it was orange/green was right turn @stop.white/blue was RH front .blue go's to flasher. green/white LH front .green/orange LH rear turn/stop. and the green one go's to your stop light switch under the car. hope this works for you.

I just took my dash off my 47 LZ. It has two vacuum controls. One silver with a red w on it with two air ports in the back. The other just a black push and hold button with three air ports in the back. All with out vacuum lines. IM thinking the silver one turns them on or off, and the black one might run a vacuum antenna that I don’t have. Yes/no? Also can some one tell me the routing of the vacuum lines please? I have hyd windows, and one large and one small vacuum port on my windshield washer motor. My chassis parts catalog doesn’t help and my lightly filled service bulletin book doesn’t help. Any one know about how much a used one would cost and where I could get a complete one?

im having trouble with my car,it runs for a couple minutes then chokes out. Iv drained the tank and found little bit of trash,iv changed the fuel filter and cleaned out the in line filter.Im thinking that i need to rebuild the pump but cant find any info on the pump so i can get a rebuild kit. the modle #on the zepher carb is o6H . iv got a 47 lincoln club coup 12 cyl .Iv got a chassis parts catalogue but cant find any info. thanks for all youalls help. mike

Hi Im Mike, iv got a 47club coup with red buttons. Your list did not include the stering wheel. Do you make or re-do them? Thanks in advance.

Im going to half to take the radiator out of my 47 coup and would like some help in the direction department. I m not knowledgeable in the distributor adjustments to risk taking it off so , I cant see the fan blots can someone tell me how to take the fan and radiator out ? Thanks for your much needed help.

Iv got a 47 lincoln club coup.Iv got 15 inch tires on the car. The spair wheel is a chrome 16 inch tire. I was told that is what they used in thoes days? Acording to the parts caralogue part #1015 is a wheel assy and there were 5 required. I have not tried to install the spair,so dont know if it would fit .Dose any one out there need a 16 inch as im looking for a 15 inch rim for a spair.:confused:

Iv got a 47 club coup and the knob next to the three heater knobs on the right is my overdrive knob to put it in overdrive. to the left of the three heater switches is my reostate knob for diming my dash lights , then to the left of that is my driving light togal switch. Hope this helps.

Iv done away with the old led battery and got a Optima one and it makes it easier to connect the cables and it cranks the old V12 great for me. But im not trying to redo my car for show, just for driving. Good luck.

My 47club coup needs a tripodometer rebuild. The miles numbers are black with white numbers, the tenth wheel , the one you reset to check gas millage is black with red numbers. Some one out there have one for sale or a junk speedometer i can get to finish rebuilding mine. Or know where i can get one? You fellas havent failed me yet.

It seems like you are right, as i have not ran into any one who can come up with a number and a answer.Well iv got a nice car, all i have to do is get its wiring road safe and get the insides redone and the front end fixed and .... well that should just about do it . then i can use it a couple times a week to go to work, so i can pay for the repairs.ha ha

If the 47s ran from 152840 to 174289 then my 7h 175126 serial number means iv got a 48 ? the only other number i have is i think the body number #779139 which is the same as the body number. Another question iv noticed why is it some 47s have door handles and mine has buttons. I guess im going to half to get the build sheet to find out more about my car. now i need my wife's help.:eek:

I have a 47 club coup #5eh-77-9139 dose this mean that it was the 139 coup that came off the line or the 9139 one ? This number was on the wall of the car. The one on my frame is7hI70030... The car vin is1170030 on the title. On the eng behind the carb the tag has 03-13-47 so im thinking its an origenal eng. I understand the 77 means its a club coup.the 5eh means its a 47? Iv got a 36-47 chassis parts catalogue so im not shure where you guys are getting the info from . maby im just not understanding what im looking at. Also...was the lincoln and the continental coups both put on the same frames?

thank you 46 connie its good to get confermation and know what is saposta happen when i do somthing. i hope i get this car on the road befor i die. it seems the more i get into it the more i want to fix to make it road safe and wearthy.well onward we go thanks again. oh by the way do you know how maney 47 coups they made and what size tires they came with ?

im working on my lights on my 47 club coupe. tell me if im wrong. when you poen the diir the lights under the dash board come on. when you turn on the dome light it and the trunk light comes on.its a hard top.

can you tell me how meney 47club coups were produced ? they did not keep very goood records after the war i was told.

Thanks Peecher,that helps a lot,as there were no bulbs in it that were readable or in one piece .Im learning slowley parts fo the car.I dident see the tank under the fender but will look closer when i look to see if i have a Columba over drive, now that i know what im looking for. On my car i have spring switches at the bottom of the doors and i thought that they would turn on the dome light ...but i was told that a switch on the passenger side behind there head turned the dome light on and the trunk light.That dosent make scents to me but...i dident know.Thats why i joined so i can talk to people whoare in the know. Is there a list that shows the light bulbs for a 47 club coup.Im trying to do wiring and now need the lamps like gauge indicator lights , when i took out the speedodpmeter i took all the lamps out thinking ,rather not thinking they were all alike...ha ha.so i could use some help in getting a list of all the lamps in and on the car it would be appreciated a lot...........Also dose the 47 have a vacuum tank for the windshield wiper moter ? or dose it just run off the engine?
